    Sorry to hear work has been pants F_F :( No wonder you've been ill if it's that bad.
    You're right to go for the other job, if only for the experience of seeing what's out there. My feet are feeling a bit itchy today too, I'm going to peruse some jobs boards this evening.

    I caught the free listing day too, so will stick all my junk on there on Sunday ;)
    Enjoy your couple of days off :)

    Hiya :)

    No standing charge means that you only pay for what you use, but the unit costs are slightly higher. If it has a standing charge you pay a basic fee every month but unit rates are a touch lower. (something like that anyway) Don't think it makes much difference if it's just the two of you, it didn't seem to for us.

    Lovefilm is good, I've been on it before and it was really easy to cancel, I did it online. A little tip - when you cancel, it will ask you why you canceled and if you would consider returning. If you say that you simply don't have time at the moment but would consider it again in 3 months time, after 3 months they will send you a voucher for a few months worth free. I've been with them about 3 times and only ever paid for one month! :rotfl:

    Money (12th January)

    Spends = £70
    PAD = £25
    Groceries = £55.43
    Entertainment = £5.10
    Purse = £8

    Morning all!

    I decided to quote myself from Tuesday to see how the frugality was going :D

    Spends = £70
    PAD = £28 (Money has increased, PADs still made :T)
    Groceries = £53.18
    Entertainment = £5.10
    Purse = £3

    Not too bad really! If I remember rightly, I spent £2.25 in Morrisons using the £5 note in my purse then put the small change into my Sealed Pot as a PAD. Mr Fresian then nicked £2 from my purse for bus fares, which I promptly took from his bank account.

    To give you an idea of how it works for me, I spent £2.25 cash on Groceries, I then transferred that from my Groceries account into my PAD account, along with the £2 for Mr F's busfares and made that my PAD. :D

    Plans for today -

    More washing
    Tidy kitchen
    Consult freezer inventory and make dinner
    Post Office
    Go to Boots for toiletries and take advantage of double points coupon. Even if I spend too much for this months budget (Likely) I won't need anything for a while.
    Morrisons for milk and possible whoopsies
    Photograph more things for Ebay

    Not doing too bad - I spent £21 in Boots but won't need to buy anything there for ages.

    Due to going a little nuts in Morrisons and Boots, I now have £13 to last me for groceries until payday. Sh*te.

    For £13.38 in Morrisons I did get:

    Milk
    Cup-a-soup
    Mayo
    Leeks (Making soup tomorrow)
    Stewing beef (Whoopsied)
    Spaghetti (50p per pack)
    Tuna - bought 5 cans as Mr Fresian said he was running low. Got home to find he already had eight sodding cans in the cupboard :mad:
    Washing up liquid
    Mushroom soup
    Peppers (2 for 70p)

    Items in bold were on my list, so once again it's the impulse purchases that cause me trouble. *sigh*

    Right, going to go and take pictures of Ebayable items before the sun goes down and the light in the living room is broken so need to take pics in daylight! Then going to clean the kitchen, sort washing out and make dinner.

    The fun never stops at Fresian Towers.

    The new George Clooney one (He is fun to stare at for two hours) which is meant to be Oscar-worthy.

    I found it a little depressing :o

    Still, I'm now up to speed with my new shiny Cineworld pass (:j) so any Edinburgh based MSE folk who want to go to the movies, gimme a shout!

    In all seriousness, as I have the Unlimited card, you get in for free on Orange Wednesdays with me, so if you fancy it...
