Wow that's brilliant! My Quidco cashback currently stands at about £3.60!
Not a lot really but hopefully this will increase after hearing about the LOVEFiLM cashback from you!
It took me a while to get into but I do most things with them now. I like that you get cashback for places I would use anyway (M&S and Boots for example) and you get 10% from Mus!cMagpie too. The ones that really add up are the bigger ones like insurances and mobile phones.

I would have moved my home insurance anyway, as my renewal had gone up, but went though Quidco and tried the one with the best cashback first. As it stood, I saved money (About £50 per year) and I will consider the cashback as a bonus if I get it. I was just glad to save some money as the thought of doing umpteen quotes doesn't appeal! I will do the same again when the cat insurance is to be renewed.

For mobiles, I'm happy where I am, but I like to make sure that Mr Fresian gets a good deal (as I pay for it!) for as little as possible. His sim-only deal is £15 per month and I got £90 through Quidco for it. When his phone broke, I went through Quidco again and bought him a phone from Tesco for £40, getting me cashback and 2000 Clubcard points.

I'm trying to be as savvy as possible and it finally seems to be working!
  • Have you seen that Quidco now have in-store cash back. There's Cineworld, Dorothy Perkins at the moment that I use, but it says they will be adding more.
    Start Date: 27/11/2010
    Padding: Day 42
    Target £8000
    Amount: £562.23

I am going to be renewing my Cineworld pass this week (Spending £162 - that's over £7 cashback!) so I'm really hoping that this tracks for me :D If not, I will be using my Clubcard credit card anyway, so will be on track for loads of points!

Today I have battled through the snot to tidy the living room, do washing, tidy the kitchen and make Twinks hobnobs:

These are the remnants of yesterdays adventures in flapjackery...

I also made corned beef hash for the first time (Yum!) and had someone from Freecycle turn up to take my old telly. I'm thinking about sorting out some Ebay listings tonight, but I'm quite tired, so it might be Dr Who DVDs for me tonight :o

Last night I made myself a new spreadsheet to track my extra income for the year. So far this month I have received £38 and still have money to come from Amazon and the Magpies :D Every little helps on the road to being debt-free!

  • Your Twinks' 'Nobs look better than when I made them. Mine looked like bricks, but tasted like nectar, though that was probably all the sugar!!!

Will try the flapjackeryness in the near future.

I have never really used Quidco. Guess what? Me is converted!!!!!!!!!

They look lovely FF, I've always fancied making Twinks Hobnobs except it would be a waste because I don't like hobnobs! Are they similar to 'real' hobnobs?

You're doing really well on the extra income, nearly 40quid in 2 weeks is fantastic! I haven't earned anything off Quidco in ages, I simply don't have anything to sign up to! Got quite a bit when I first signed up to it though.

I seriously need to get rid of some CD's and books and stuff though. I think my POA will be to hold a car boot in the summer and just offer everything at 50p a go, then any CD's left over can go on Music Magpie and any books can be charity shopped. Or maybe offered on one of those book swap sites actually.

How you feeling tonight, hope you are feeling better! The flapjacks should have helped...!

Hullo Silaqui - be prepared to be bartered down, right down. Car booters are UTTERLY fearless and the cheek of 'em too sometimes!

I'm glad you enjoyed Glee, it's really silly and good fun!

I am in no way worthy of Hypno comparisons, I only have to look after Mr Fresian and the mogs, she's got a whole family, skiing to sort and a gaggle of students. I just sound busy when I write it down but manage to spend a goodly amount of time sitting on my erris :A
  • Hi FF
