BT online billing

Don't know if anyone has looked at their online account lately? I looked this morning to find that all my "recent calls" had vanished, balance of zero and that a random ££ credit was showing under Payments - my bill is quarterly and isn't due til 21st Jan.
Is this anything to do with the levelling up of call billing period with rental period?
Can't be bothered to spend time talking to BT Mumbai about it !!

Not sure why yours is like that but I checked mine and is fine.
I pay monthly though so unles something to do with that. Hope you get your answer.TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
Yeah, checked my daughters account;she pays monthly whole bill by DD, appears correct.
Further scrutiny of my account shows I'm now apparently £110+ in credit and they want me to reduce my DD amount!!
Suspect it must all be a system error -I'll carry on reviewing now until my next bill is produced in 3 weeks time.0 -
I pay BT monthly using online billing (Phone and Broadband) and noticed this month that my bill had increased from the usual £32 to £48.
On closer inspection it appears that BT will now charge for rental a full month in advance rather than the previous 2 weeks behind / 2 weeks ahead. This means that I have paid '6 weeks' rental on this 'new style' bill and expect to pay 4 weeks (all in advance) from Jan 10.
Therefore, I have paid BT an extra £16 (ish) that I will only see again if I cancel my subscription in future. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMPLETE CON AND A WAY FOR BT TO POCKET A LARGE AMOUNT OF CASH IN ONE FOUL SWOOP.
I would be interested in what other people think and/or have noticed and concluded.0 -
I have been paying the GPO and, now, BT, line rental in advance and calls in arrears for the past 4 decades.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

nadin001, this change of billing has been discussed at length over the past 6-9 months on this forum. BT "claim" it is the interests of clarity and is something that they have been "instructed" to do by OFCOM -They have gradually been introducing it to all customers over the period. Like you I believe it is a wonderful opportunity for a useful cash flow injection for BT.
My account online is still showing no calls made over the past two months along with a random credit of over £50 when I look at the payments page.0 -
Our 'recent usage' now lists all calls, including 'free' calls, and including 'free' texts. And including VAT at the new rate from 1 Jan 2010. The blurb claims, as before, that the list is updated each evening to 10 pm, but currently (11 Jan) ours is updated only to 6 Jan. Sorry if I've missed some announcement everyone else knows about, concerning the listing of 'free' calls. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. My online account has now been updated - showing all calls (as YoungNicks) and inc VAT at the appropriate rate - however, the pages don't now show current account credit balance(pre next bill) and the Payments made information seems incomprehensible!!0

After waiting for ages to get my account to load I was redirected to this page saying:

Maybe that's why there's lots of errors appearing?
It's only a game
