Woohoo, getting married in 5 1/2 hours! Very exciting :-) All going fine and the sun is shining, though 3 last minute cancellations from guests, not good when friends are so ill they can't make it to the wedding. Hope they will be feeling better soon!
Speak to you all in 2 weeks.... not sure if we'll have internet access at Boggle Hole! We're now going to be spending honeymoon gift money, so it doesn't count on my spreadsheet :-)Live on £11k in 20110 -

Hope you have a wonderful wonderful day :j:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Have a great day Lynda. I wish you both lots of happiness.
We are trying to be frugal here today. DH got up with the kids while i had a lie in so that he could get them to make me some mothers day cards.DS1 told me all about it as soon as i got up. I thought he was ok at keeping secrets but i am gradually twigging that 3 is the age they start to not keep secrets and listen when they shouldn't.
We have the kids bedding out on the line. I washed it yesterday when it was wet and just never got round to putting it in the TD. The Wm is on again with a load of kiddies clothes. We need to do a small food shop today to get more milk, fruit and veg, but planning on a fairly relaxing weekend i think.0 -
Congratulations Lynda! Glad the sun is shining for you - hope you and your beloved have a wonderful day and a lifetime of love and happiness.
Knithappens, I know that feeling of being so wrecked! Well done on sticking to your budget!
Plan for today is to do a bit in the garden if it doesn't rain. Think I might try to put some garic down, they said on Gardener's World last night this is the last chance to do it. They said use horticultural garlic and I only have shop bought garlic but I guess it's worth a try. I know Nyk and others have grown garlic - what did you all use?
Also going to make some coleslaw and bake bread for the week. Not sure what I'll cook for dinner, but plan to make a batch of something that will keep me going for a while.
Hope you all have a great day!Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Lynda - Oh my god, is it that time already???? I hope your day is perfect xxx
Lynz - Sorry to hear about your tough week - but when you have saved enough to own your dream place, it will feel so good ! And definitely declutter before you move house - I didn't really bother with this and am now literally living with stuff stacked up to the ceiling on every side until I get rid of some of it
Michelle - Your story about your DS made me laugh, bless him
Finishing the car today. Thats itWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

Seriously tho, my very Best Wishes for a Lifetime filled with Much Love & Laughter. x
Here's ONE thread on recipes for the slow-cooker Pagan, & ANOTHER here. I have to admit I don't use mine as often as I'd like, cuz the Offspring are not big on casserole-type meals. I'd bought the SC thinking I could change their minds, but they see it on the side & already decide they won't like the contents
I had a mini triumph yesterday. Me muvva is coming over for lunch tomorrow & she fancies cold chicken with mash & pickles; living on her own she only buys portions & rarely has this 'delicacy' so it will be a real treat--promiseI was browsing the shelves for any good deals & spotted an SEL that said £1:87 per kilo, but the chooks themselves were priced £2:76 per kilo. The young lady was whoopsie-ing close by so I asked her which was correct & she was shocked that no-one else had noticed, & this was around 3 on a Friday afternoon! Anyhoo--she priced my chicken £2:37 cheaper while the chap went off & got new SELs printed, so I'm kinda pleased I asked when I did:rotfl:
