I use a piece of screen capture software (King King Capture, which is free)
While on the screen I want to 'catch', I press <Ctrl>K and my cursor changes from a line or arrow to 'cross-hairs'
I then position this in one corner of what I want to catch, and hold down the left mouse button while moving the cursor to the opposite corner (to select the area)
When I let go of the mouse button, what I've selected pops up in a new (King Kong) window. Then it's a case of saving it out (as a jpg) by clicking on the first icon on the top bar of that window (looks like floppy discs), then deciding where to save it on my computer and what name to give it
I then log in to my Photobucket account (that's my personal choice of image hosting sites), and upload the file
My account there is then set up to give me the code I need to post the image on here (starts)

Happy New Year, all
I'm really excited about getting started on this. I spent some time yesterday afternoon putting my budget into Cheryls spreadsheet (Thanks again, fantastic spreadsheet - it is really going to be so helpful), and I can see a couple of areas where I may still be able to trim some pennies off - I will sit down this afternoon and get my final challenge amount sorted.
Goodluck with the challenge, everyone0 -

Hello Everyone & hope all revellers had a good time
I have a little spend today for a set of newspapers. I began buying them around 15 years ago I think, to build up a reference library of sorts for the Offspring to share with their families when they eventually decide to procreateThree SIZE=1]mid-range[/SIZE papers on 1 Jan every year & any notable--usually British--event is about my limit these days unless there is something exceptionally note-worthy to catch my eye.
In my post about dried herbs & spices yesterday, it says they were £1 a kilo last time I was in that shop but please substitute £10 because the '0' didn't registerHope it means we need to change the batteries & not a new keyboard...
Good Luck with the 2010 Challenge & I'm glad you're all here to share the Journey to Frugaldonia.
Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

I promise I'll try not to think of lard or dinosaurs this year, and will try to remind myself T Rex is of the musical variety. Hope everything goes well for you and the next frugalteeny TRex.
Ha ha you've made me laugh with this one espe seeing as I will probably feeling very lardy as my little frugalteeny grows hee hee!!0 -
It's funny how we read names, 'cos I always read it as a 'different spelling' of "trecks" (as in walking journey) - probably 'cos DH was a keen hill walkerCheryl0

I won't be including rent, council tax or some monthly DDs to charities, pet insurance etc. or my bus pass, but will be including any money I take out and spend. So, this total will include bills, food, clothes, going out and any other expenses.
