Had another staying in day today, just pottering, decluttering a few things, tidying up etc., so it's another non spending day for me today.Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

I must stop looking on the local forum for animals needing homes!! I don't room for anymore at the moment without building more housing. Although the chickens I got today, the house was built from wood and wire given to us by my dad. He gets it free from where he works and gets loads of it as well, so he brings it over for me to use on animal housing!
I keep saying no more buying chickens, and I will try and sell some later in the year which I have bred myself. One of my friends has already put in an order for 5 normal laying hens and a few silkies so hopefully should get some money to pay for the chickens I keep buying!!DD1 born May 2002, DD2 born Dec 2005, DS born Dec 2008. Baby due May 2010! TEAM PINK!!

Cheryl - sorry to hear about your dog xx
Well, I've been spending againBut, I did use £4 of LV carefully, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been as I only got fruit/veg and a newspaper - oh and a pack of 18 mince pies for £1 from Ic£land (DD is addicted to them, handy for her packed lunches).
Also picked up a little christmassy teddy bear for DD half price at Wilk0s, that was fun, getting it off the shelf, into my pocket, then to the till and paid for without her noticing - luckily she was preoccupied with the reduced price bread rolls we also bought! Sometimes, having a helpful DD is just too much!0 -
HI folks,
I've managed not to spend any money today although I was tempted to buy wellies online. I was saved by indecision - I really like the expensive ones but couldn't persuade myself to part with that much money. And couldn't persuade myself to buy the cheaper ones as they're made of an ungreen material and figure they're probably not that durable.
Have eaten cheaply too and am about to do meal plans for the next week. I think I'll be trying the open fire baked spuds tomorrow - could be interesting!:D
Cheryl, I'm thinking of you and your dog, hugs to you both.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Doublewrap in tinfoil and a foil dish to see if it withstands the heat, perhaps? I wouldn't risk leaving it in for hours, though.
If potatoes do burn, they turn into a charcoal like ball that can then probably be used as a fuel in its own right, perhaps on a BBQ. :rotfl:QUOTE]bout your
Thanks for this Nyk. Will sacrifice a tatty and experiment as soon as I can find a foil dish (don't do takeaways anymore!) and let you know how I get on.
So sorry about your wee dog CW. We were in just your position with our 13 year old Dalmatian last May, so understand exactly how you feel.0 -
Very sorry to hear about your little dog Cheryl.
Avatar was brilliant - I feel like I've had a real treat before I go back to work tomorrow.
Had a lovely surprise this afternoon- OH has rummaged around in the garage and from bits and pieces he's built a bird feeding station for the back garden. He's used a post and then screwed 4 black brackets [type used for hanging baskets on] onto it and all for free:j] -we've now got 2 fatballs and a feeder full of seed on it. Am going to try for another feeder on freecycle so I can fill it with peanuts. We've already had a robin and some blue tits visiting. They had stopped coming to the feeders in our tree as next door have a cat who hides below the tree ready to pounce. Our cat thinks it far too cold at present to lower herself by going out:rotfl::rotfl:

CW - so sorry to hear about your dog; it's horrible when animals get old.
I'm still fannying about with The Spreadsheet & setting my budgets :rotfl: & have just spent the last hour playing the "Lets all hunt for the PE bags before school tomorrow" game. Can't believe how quickly it has all gone by!
Good luck to everyone with this challenge :T& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin
