    Hey all,
Haven't been on for a bit as I've just been so tired out with all this baby growing business.

Also was given a little bag of girls clothes from a well wisher today. One of the dresses in it are for a 2year old and still had its Miny mode tags on!!! I looked it up and its worth £15 new. I'm eying up the material on it as well for something crafty once babies done with it. LOL
Frugal hugs and love to all

I can empathise Fishcake. I think my back is going to cave in soon. I am enormous now and still have 8, 9, 10 weeks possibly to go. I have to get up umpteen times in the night to pee or just walk around because I'm pinned down by the weight of my bump and it gives me pins and needles. But, hey ho, will have two gorgeous babies to show for it in April!

I have saved soooo much on secondhand clothing, thousands of pounds. I go to Mothercare for the comedy value of wandering round, looking at the price rags and feeling incredulous that people will pay £15 for yet another cute babygro when people are more than happy to recycle stuff by passing them on.

Had a NSD today simply because i was too tired to leave the house. Can see this happening more and more so that might be the silver lining to my increasingly house bound state :p

Anyway, today DP and I washed and spruced up our son's pushchair and put it on ebay - it's only had light use and is gonna be no use with twins, so we're buying a double buggy secondhand from ebay and friends. Our's is already selling at £30 so that will go to paying for the next one

  • Rozeepozee- Thats really sweet thank you. I don't anyone can truely feel a pregnant ladys pains unless also a pregnant lady.
I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like with two
I'm sick of people saying "oh I loved being pregnant", well I don't its been truely horrible from the second I found out but I will never say I regret it because it has taken us 4 years to conceive this baby! Maybe its a case of being carefull what you wish for! If I feel brave soon I may post a pic of my bump, perhaps on my new shiny blog.
When in april are you due if you don't mind me asking, I'm due the 2nd of April and I've told everyone that no way in hell am I having an April fools day baby! lol

Fishcake. Never ever feel guilty for thinking pregnancy is horrid. It really is bad and I don't understand how people enjoy it, they must be sadists ;). I hated both my pregnancies

Fishcake - Your post made me smile. I've just been talking to a very heavily pregnant friend who sounds just like you. I do feel for her and you. I hope the rest of your pregnancy passes quickly and healthily!

It's been a quite frugal weekend here. Went shopping yesterday - my friend who has a brand new shiny mini came and picked my up and I sat in it drooling with envy. I had a google when I got back and realised I could have a used one for not too much. I have no intention of getting on by any sort of credit but it's saveable. Thankfully I didn't spend a penny in the shopping centre. Does anyone else find that they now hate spending money with a passion? I used have regular dreams about spending money and now I resent paying 50p for a bottle of water!

Part of my personal frugalness challenge was to stop procrastinating ang get organised. Last year I lost a scandalous amount of money because of basic disorganisation, or not knowing where I'd put something so I'd happily go and buy it again. So today I got out the pile of duplicates mostly books and listed them all on Amazon. I've already sold two things and after postage should have a profit of about £20. Which is going straight into the mini fund! :T

The next bit of organisational business was to deal with form filling and letter writing in order to get money or discounts. For example, my university pay for transport to teacher training placements. I only got around to taking the reciepts in for 08-09 in December and they sent me a letter saying they couldn't pay because it was in the previous academic year:o So I've made sure all the reciepts and diesel costs I have incurred have been posted.

I've also done the HC1 form so I can get free NHS help - I couldn't be bothered to do it last year :o That should save a lot as I need new glasses and some dental work. In addition I've claimed back the costs of stationery, internet and printer ink - I have dyslexia and I can do this. Last year I couldn't be bothered to gather and keep reciepts that often so I lost money there too  I could slap myself!

Epic post but motto is - get everything you're entitled to and don't be afraid (or too lazy) to fill in a few forms!
There are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.

I loved being pregnant - am I odd? It always gave me such hope - especially the last time. I count myself very lucky. Twins might be early:)

In fact I'd rather be pregnant than weaning - 5 months old tomorrow so have to get started this week, my babies need food!

Have a satisfying frual week everyone

aims for 2014 - grow more fruit and veg, declutter

AEB - have you tried baby led weaning?? and yup I think your odd, understandable the feeling of hope last time etc but still odd. I preferred childbirth to pregnancy and one of those was an induction ;)
