    Thanks Larmy :j

Just turned over to Spendaholics lol

I'm a bit miffed as I asked OH to get milk, bread and black bags and he spent £9.65

My own fault for being lazy and giving him more money than he needed :rotfl:

  • Have been trying, unsuccessfully, to find where or who has the spreadsheet please.

I give up, where is it hiding?

Had an expedition to Wilko yesterday for veg seeds and garden requisites and saved £2.07 buying them on special offer. Not a big saving but hopefully growing my own will reap (sorry) benefits.

Also thought of a use for the plastic coal bags I've saved for using for 'something' - grow potatoes in them. So no spend on containers.

Mr optimisticP used £14's worth of boot's points for his toiletries and stocked up for a while (it's his bit of luxury)

Things as usual, buying as much as I can store to reduce trips to stores and to batch cook thereby saving the planet carbon emission while also saving us fuel costs.

Happy hunting in the sales if you are stocking up in advance.
    No longer half of Optimisticpair

Edited in - at least, that's where it was. I can't see it now either.

    Hiya alll

This is probably a really stoopid question but on the spreadsheet (which I have only just got round to filling in) it has a page i.e. JAN T + C

my stoopid question is what does T+C stand for please? I know it is probably obvious but hey, I had a late night (my excuse and I am sticking to it :rotfl:)

    thanks

    Toiletries and cleaning?
Flying_Fresian is right, in that I use it for Toiletries and Cleaning (I like to keep these separate from food shopping).

But you could ignore them completely (just don't set a budget for it on the front page, then it will all hang together perfectly OK :) ), or change the heading on the totals page (and the name of the pages) to use them for something else you want to record in detail.

Hi, just got back from Mr T's and spent the rest of my weekly grocery budget, so feel a little nervous as need to make use of it all so that I can get through to next week at the very least( first time doing this so nervous as want to stick to it.)
I have a question please, I have just gone into spreadsheet to enter shop in detail on "Jan Grocery" tab after doing this I flicked back to the totals page and noticed that it hadn't updated in column D spent column, am I doing something wrong, should it automatically update or do I enter what I have spent manually, any help would be great thanks.

Cheryl, the template doesn't appear to be there any more. The folder is empty. Has someone accidentally deleted it?

Except it may not download too happily, as I did a minor correction to them yesterday morning. Had major problems getting them to upload again, and now it won't let ME download them !!! Not sure if it's just me or everyone though

Quite happy to accept PMs while I continue to try sorting the download thing - in fact, will update the post from the link to mention this..... meant to do so this morning, but have been busy "getting rid of" DS1 :rolleyes2

If you're just entering one line per shop visit, put the total into column G (or put a Qty of 1 into column E with your total in D)

It should then sum up your shops into Cell O1 on that page, and this is the figure that automatically carries across to the Totals page

Hi cheryl, thanks, I have done that, enterring everything singly, but the "D spent" column in "totals" page is still showing as £10.00 which is what I spent on the 7th jan and not updated the £36 odd that i sepnt today.

Have you entered quantities in column E of each row? Doing that should put a figure into column E ready for being totally up.

ETA: Just had a look at the copy I sent you back, and the formula in Column E seems to be missing from rows 3 and 4. If you do a copy and paste from E5 into those two cells, that should this one out :)
