We rent currently but will more than likely need something we can adapt for DH.

First and last time I brought a house, a 3 floored big 3 bedroom terrace with lovely garden....it cost me £36500..............and my mortgage was only £143 a month.

Mind you that was in 1998

Had to sell it when I got divorced.

Bookie its a tough time for them in their relationship, I think the majority of relationships with a new baby start to bring up new challenges at GS's age. The novalty of the new baby wears off, SIL will start to realise that he isn't your daughters main priority and no matter what the men say I think there is always an element of jealousy. I am sure it will pass and they will work through it

  • I hope so Sally.
It's going to be a challenging year for us all.
Although I must say, regardless of what happened later, OH and I did share childcare and work together. SIL ust wasn't interested today cos he was fragile and assumed DD would pick up the pieces.

Littlemiss - they've stopped the DT links?!?!?!!? !!!!!! are they playing at! I started welling up when there was the knocking, and then after that I just lost it. Pint kept giving me tissues and I was like "no point (blubber sob sniff) i'm only gonna carry on til the end (teary voice)"

No way!!! That's not fair. Not sure if you've had a look at this site yet? http://www.david-tennant.com/

Thankfully I was by myself when I watched it, I did have a glass if wine and a box of tissues to hand. You coulkd see that he was trying hard not to cry in the final scenes.

Is he still in Hamlet? I might have to spend some money and get a ticket. But do I take the OH? Nah as he hates Shakespear and doesn;t approve of my crush on DT. Good job he's away until March!!!

I think things change Bookie..I hope your Daughter gave him a right good talking too. If DD is anything like me I am sure there is also an element that while her husband is out working GS is her responsibility and while he should also be helping out, there is also an element of guilt in the fact that they are the ones having to go out and earn while you get to stay at home so she grins and bares it. I am sure that my OH really resented that fact, and that really made his relationship with DD very difficult at times. I thought he would be wanting to do more, but in fact he did less (and still does).

Cat slinks in to wish everyone a Happy New Year and asks if anyone wants any chocolates or sweeties???

I'm determined that this year I'll crack the depression and feelings of worthlessness:o

My cousin separated from wifey#2 on Christmas Eve and my brother's GF left (for third time) on 29th. She came to collect some clothes on Wednesday and asked if he wanted to talk and he said not until the new year! He's just been to see me and I think he's more resigned to being split up and estranged-SIL's new phone obviously has t'internet as she's been back on FB and listed herself as beign 'in a relationship but it's complicated'! I wish she'd just list herself as single and have done with it:confused::confused:

healthy eating is going to start on Monday... too much unhealthy food in the house and I've seen the visa statement... just a smidge shy of £3K:eek::eek::eek: it's all on a 0% card until the end of May:A
