The new year often brings the realisation of financial troubles and is often a time when people come looking for help. As the stats bare out, this board often has a number of "viewers" who are looking for information, but find it hard to commit themselves to making a post.

Realised today that its 2 years to the day since the sh*t hit the fan in my world..31/12/07 .

Talking to a very good friend tonight I realised just how far I have come in those 2 years & that my life is coming back to me...albeit slowly.

My advice to anyone who has stumbled across this forum is to face your debt demons , get advice & do something about it.

Please don`t suffer in silence or put up with harrassment or sleepless nights....remember there is no debt crisis that can`t be solved.

Well said SSA, but can I also add to that......that whatever choice you have to make it really won't be as bad as what you imagine it will be.

yep i would say that its better sorting your debt than having the phone calls and letters we all know about,im bankrupt,im surviving like most people do in bankruptcy but take the advice of people on here and move forward with it there definately is light at the end of the tunnel

Fab thread and good to keep this in our 'bumping' thoughts.

I'd just like to add that no question is too silly or complex or embarrassing, no debt problem cannot be sorted, there's many people on your side and many who understand what you are going through.

Don't worry about trolls posting to incite, our board guide is very quick and helps us to keep safe. I have been on many boards before and non as friendly as this one.

Ask anything, even if you think you're asking something that has been posted before, just ask.

Well done for visiting the board and a first brilliant step towards finding a solution to the darkness you fear.
