I have already put away a whole bottle of champagne (half price M&S :p) We don't 'do' New Years- we will stay up for the 'happy new years' stuff then it's off to bed. :rotfl:

Money no object? Hmmm, that's a tough one. I guess a wedding planner would be nice. Someone to tell what we want then do all the hard work with the suppliers and then 'make it happen'. Or a lovely lovely hooneymoon in the maldives or mauritius or somewhere sunny. :p

    hello ladies
I'm a bit of a lurker on these boards, just booked our wedding earlier in the month, we're getting married Jan 2011... Tonight we're on the sofa with some sparkling rose!
Money no object, I would have my cousin's soul band up from Dorset to play the wedding. They are fab, but there are 9 of them (I think!) and they would all have to stay over because of the distance so I'm pretty certain its a no-no because of the costs!

We're Jan 2011 too!! I thought we were the only ones! What date? We're 29/01/2011 :D
  • For vintage, bespoke, handmade shoes your going to need to save enough to buy a tardis:p.

Mine would be tummy tuck, boob job and all round smaller dress:D.
  • Hi Lurker (lol)......Maybe the band would do it very cheap or FREE, just petrol costs etc etc (as you are faaaaaaaaamily!) and then you could offer to pay for half their room hire (maybe find them rooms at a travel lodge type thingy??) You might find that only paying them a small amount with mates rates plus half their board (if they bunk into a few rooms together!) would be no more than booking a "proper" band (not that they arent a proper band...u know what i mean lol!) and they are what you want!!!!??? Am i making sense....? Or am i sonding more drunk by the minute>!
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

I thought we were the only ones! Nice to meet you SavvyStudent!
Our big day is on 15th Jan 11. Jan was chosen to help my sister to be there (she lives in Oz and teaches, so its their school hols!) but once we found a gorgeous venue for a winter wedding we were pretty pleased with our choice!

Nice to meet you too! Mmm I've always wanted a winter wedding really :D Jan was a bit of a second choice for us but I'm quite happy with it! Maybe we should start a Jan 2011 thread lol - though it might be just the 2 of us...!
