Is it JUST me who is staying in, at home, just me and h2b on New Years Eve......?? We are drinking lol.....if that makes us SLIGHTLY less boring!!!! And i have a 5year old asleep upstairs so thats another excuse
Don't hide - add yourself to the list......what we save tonight, we can spend on our weddings!!!! YAY!
Here is a question for us all -
*If you could afford ANYTHING and your budget was unlimited, what else would you be having that you aren't due to financial restraints (go as crazy as you like lol!)
I would have a chocolate fountain (cant justify it cos we are having 3 course meal, evening buffet and wedding cake lol!) and i would have fireworks.....i would also have a bespoke cake (i am an m&s girl lol) - i would also make little changes like having free bar for everyone lol, upgrade the menu a little bit (tho i love our menu!) and i would probably have a few treats like vintage, bespoke, handmade shoes and also have a better hairdresser than i shall be able to afford lol and also a makeup person!!!!!
So??

So??
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Evening! I am in, 12yo and hubby to be with a tummy bug means he is not even here due to my poor immune system! But I have wine! Yay
Money no object??.... The only thing I would change is having a dress hand made for me to my 'dream' dress. Love the one I have but my dream dress is a bit bonkers all red velvet riding jacket and full ivory skirt!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
I'm working early tomorrow so the OH and I are seeing in the new year at home with a few white russians
If money was no object for me I think I'd have to agree on the free bar!
Everything else we've sort of covered and we're happy, we're having quite an MSE wedding in terms of outfits, rings, cake, invites etc (I'm also an M&S cake bride!) because we just feel theres no need to go crazy to have a lovely memorable dayWe're buying things bit by bit as we find them on offer etc and seem to be gathering things up nicely! Roll on Jan 2011!
Happy new year everybody!0 -

Evening!! Yeah, i am happy overall with all my choices..our venue is spectacular and everything is lovely!! I am getting my Mum to decorate it with sugarpaste ivory roses and ...loads of other clever stuff that she is panicking about LOL ...... i want a kind of version of the cake on my mood board LOL http://www.dessy.com/shareboard/?user=moodboardguest&password=6935Baldrick, does it have to be this way? I would love it, but know my limits!! We would never have a free bar even if money no object as future FIL has a drink problem (although 2nd glass of wine in, I may too tonight LOL):rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -

OOoh! I had a look at your mood board when you posted it, I forgot to comment! Lovely scheme! I was going for muted gold but you've inspired me to add a little olive accent
Our venue actually suggested the M&S cake, they're a big hotel but very honest with money saving ideas etc, and what they said most brides tend to do is buy the 3 tiers, and then get a wide ribbon that tones in for around the edges, and a little spray of flowers for each tier to match the bouquets and just set them on top? It seems quite classy. So I might have the florist make 3 mini bouquets (or indeed, get silk ones) and just go with that. OH seems intent on a mini wedding couple for the top though...! x0 -
