Help with Orange Contract

Happy new year to you all.

I hope you can give me some advice regarding my wifes Orange contract. She had a few months left on her contract but she wanted an iphone so she went to an Orange shop where she cancelled the contract and paid the remaining line rental.

Orange are continuing to bill her and have told her that a debt collection agency have been ask to get the payment.

She informed the nice gentleman from orange that the contract was cancelled in the Orange shop. She told them to contact the shop to confirm this, they said they do not deal directly with orange shops.

She went back to the shop and the manager confirmed that indeed the contarct was cancelled, but still the Orange Bill people are not accepting this. We have posted proof that the contract (as was supplied by the Orange shop) was cancelled but still no joy.

Any advice would be very welcome. I really dont want to start the new year by killing several Orange officials.

Thanks
