MayJust bee to the Spice Market breakfast buffet for the second time. It has gone way downhill. The smoked salmon was dry and rubbery and there was nothing we had that we could say was really good.
It is living on its previous reputation of being the best buffet in Vegas. We also weren't that impressed with Harrah's either and both these buffets have been previous favourites of ours.
The MGM was very good and I didn't used to rate it, but that may have been dinner and I don't really like buffets for dinner.0 -

I was looking for Rod Stewart and he wasn't listed. (Tickets go on sale in Saturday.) I scrolled down the list and there she was!
Nice one pebbles. I got an email about Diana Ross a few weeks ago and didn't think to post it on here.0 -
Aprilwe also normally send postcards to the grandmothers and my hubby's parents...haven't for the last few trips as it seems silly to keep sending Vegas postcards, but plan to pick some up at Mt Charleston if we make it next trip. The grandmothers especially really seem to love receiving them.
As others have said we normally buy our stamps at the hotel's business centre. Some used to have machines which sold postcard stamps (including international ones) but haven't seen them for awhile. There is a machine at least at T2 that sells them...and a postbox.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Maywe always send postcards still, to the kids if we are away without them and to our parents, think we bought our stamps at CVS shop and then handed them in at reception0

we sent a postcard whilst we were there a month or so ago - just took the postcards (available from nearly everywhere!) into the business center @ MGM grand and they took our money and took care of it all for us (unfortunately they didnt write the postcards - we had to do that
)
Anyways, posted on Friday 3rd September, received in uk on Saturday 11th September so took just over a week0 -

SeptemberYour call Luci ....take the recommendation off page 1 ??? if it is living on past rep then i say take it off and replace it with the WynnThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

3rd it! --- i slagged it off on our April trip report from last year
... missus still hasn't forgiven me for making us go there!
(Mandalay Bay lunch is a winner for us, but happy to admit our buffet experience is limited!!! - want to try Wynn tho!)0 -
MayMaybe wait for further input from members going out shortly or who have tried it recently rather than take my word for it.
We found the Aria buffet to be excellent in May, but haven't tried it this trip for breakfat as it's a bit hike over there.
Funnily enough we weren't impressed with the Wynn buffet last time we tried it as most of the hot food was cold. That was a while ago and we haven't tried it since because of that.
Another one is Le Village at Paris. It has (had) a very good reputation and we liked it a few years ago. Didn't like it 2-3 years ago and didn't go back until I had read good things about it again. Tried it a year or so ago and still wasn't impressed. There are still massive queues for it.
Maybe these things are a matter of opinion.
From ones we're tried in the last year or so I would rate the Aria, Bellagio and MGM. I don't rate the Spice Market or Paris and I'm still undecided about Harrah's.0 -

Yes, take it off seems to be the consensus.0
