hi
don't forget wood as a form of fuel - modern log burners are very efficient and can heat boilers, radiators and heat the room they are in...
In 15 years oil could be very, very expensive:rolleyes:

The Rayburn is a good bit of kit. But oil is dirty, and as such they need regular servicing which is another cost factor, as well as a flue and higher instalation costs. It is recommended to use high grade oil, to stop clogging up the cooker. With all this in mind, the electric option is definetly worth considering. Saw an Esse Cat yesterday and nearly changed my mind, but have decided to stick with the Everhot. The reason for the ponder was that they heat up quicker so you can leave it off and just turn it on and it heats up quickly, and I like the dogbone hotplate.Pawpurrs x0

I liked the Esse Cat too ... but settled for the Everhot as less chaos in the kitchen (getting the gas supply moved etc etc )0

Have you got the esse cat? What do you think. Is it a bind it not being ready to cook all the time? and not having it ready to boil a kettle all the time? I'm torn between cat and everhot. The cat I thought looked more visually pleasing than the everhot 90 but now the new 90 is here ,I'm not so sure. Thanks0

I went for the Everhot, you can keep the esse on all the time, you just dont have to. Pluses for the Everhot is no servicing required. I really like the look of the New Everhot, getting impatient waiting for it though. The Everhot prices will be going up in April, so something to consider, I suspect it will be another £500 or so increase to cover the new door etc.
Still got another 8 weeks or so wait ;0(Pawpurrs x0 -
Quick Question to those with an Everhot, I want to put a hanging utensil rack, behind the cooker but am concerned about the lids, do they go straight up or lean backwards, to lean on the wall? Thanks.Pawpurrs x0
