Yep, £144.77 in total. Need some fresh ideas for this thread! Buying branded 2nd hand clothing is the only 1 so far, we dont have the weather for car boots just now though.
You'll find that most of us have houses full of stuff that needs selling first before we go buying

Someone in my local PO has put up a wanted ad for old photos and I'm guessing they sell those on somewhere. So if you could find something that sells well on eBay or elsewhere then you could start looking around to buy them up and sell them on.
I sold a loads of Action Man stuff last year and have now spotted individual items which the buyer has cleaned up/fixed selling for great prices. I knew they would be worth something to someone but I hadn't got a clue and was happy for someone else to deal with it and let me have a shelf back in my house.
So if you have any speialist interest, you could buy up mixed lots and then resell.
Anyway today I have found out that:
1) Handy Manny torches bought for £4 from the Disney Store sell for substantially more than that
2) There is a market for minidisc players
3) Old modems also sell
Now I just have to find them and put them on...Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Floxxie had it a year, but daughter hardly played with it. I suppose it's not a bad offer for second hand, it's just that it cost soo much to buy! This year she got no toys! She wasn't even bothered - she's 5!!!!
Thanks for the advice anyway.
Ooh I know this feeling. I'm going to be putting on stuff that was bought last Xmas and has not been played with. It makes me feel very sad at the amount of money wasted. This year I tried really hard to limit what I was buying and next year I am going to use eBay to buy second hand items.
The way I look at it is that someone else will use it and you will get some cash and a bit of free space...
P.S. well done on giving up smoking...hope you keep it up; it's a hard thing to do.Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -

Hi everyone! Can I please join you all? My dh and I are clearing a relative's house which was the world's most cluttered house I have sold loads over the last year, and currently have 504 items on ebay and 652 items on amazon, but have still got loads to sell, and need to clear some of my stuff too, to get rid of my debts!
Hopefully this challenge will keep me focussed and help me clear the clutter. We are hoping to move in a month so once we are there, will have more space and hopefully more time to get on with things."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Ok this is a what would you do question.
My mobile packed up last week and I took it on for repair, didnt want to be without a phone incase I went out in the car etc on my own, so I bought myself a cheap one with free airtime, to tide me over. I put the sim card in and registered it to get the free £10 airtime, and charged the battery just incase, but it has since sat in the box, never used. Got my old phone back today, so it is now surplus to requirements and you know we cant have that can we;)
First question, as its never been used can I still class it as new?
SEcond question, do you think its ok to sell it even though to register the card they had to have my name and address. No other personal details were taken..
Be interested in your thoughts please0 -
Sell it without the card. Most phones on ebay fetch at least a tenner

Good idea about clearing the loft; I started doing this last year and sold hubby's old toys. Given that he is ancient I made a substantial amount of money
Footie shirt  (one of my nightmare stories)
Can you prove that it is a genuine signature? If not, you might have a problem selling it on eBay. I've even been accused of selling a fake when it was genuine  before the buyer even bid on it.
You could always have a look at what other same-signed shirts have gone for and either sell your locally or I wonder if you could get it checked and verified by a collector somehow. Of course you may not get the wierd buyers that I do.Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060
