  • Hi can anyone give me some advise please.... I wrote a bit about it the other day but ill write it again so sorry if you already read bits :) I sold a baby activity table and the lady came to pick it up. She then emailed saying that there was some bits missing but I didnt know anything about them (i brought it myself from ebay and sold it on as it was) They were some shape bits or something, well i Said really sorry didnt know anything about them - If you return it to me i will offer refund (thought that was being nice)
She said no it wasnt worth her time to return. And that she should check listings better from now on!
So i said i am really sorry once again that your not happy. I listed the item as it was and described in my listing what was included etc, and the condition. So sorry. I will still offer refund if she returns the item.
Reply i got was a grumpy one saying as a seller i should have checked the item and listed it had parts missing. And that she shouldnthave to pay to return or waste her time returning the item.....
Should i have checked or is it ok as i didnt list it was 'as new' or stated it was like new. I described exactly what it could do and how it worked.....
Also she paid cash on collection so should she have checked item before she paid?? I dont really know what she wants me to do about it. It was pick up so cant even pay for return postage if i wanted to as she collected.....

She also brought a different toy from me and i know she is now going to give me neg for both items even though she has no problem with the other..... How bad will two negs effect my selling :( I only have about 300 postives......

As long as your listing didn't list the missing items as being part of the activity table then you fine. She should have read the listing it is not your fault. Don't leave her feedback until she leaves you any this gives you chance to reply to any comment she may leave, you can also do a followup feedback and say that the missing items were not listed. 2 negs from the same buyer won't do anything for your status l wouldn't worry sooner or later we will all get a negative its just how ebay is going.

  • thank you smem. It didnt have it in the listing (i think it just some small shapes - which my daughter never even noticed it wasnt there so are not that important) I think ill just stop worring (again!!lol) and see if she gives a neg and then make my comments........

Evening everyone, haven't been on for a while as life is a bit tough at the moment but hoping March will be better.

Haven't listed anything on eBay as just got my new laptop yesterday but have listed some stuff on Amazon & GreenMet and sold two items tonight. Am adding more things tomorrow and will aim to list all my books and CDs by the end of the week...then it's eBay time :)

Will be back soon: keep on going everyone

  • Hi Captainspam

Well done on the shop sales, mine are rather slow, was selling a lot of my swim suits when I had them listed in more than one auction (ie 4-5, 6-7 etc), now I have all the sizes in one listing they are not doing so well). Have sent a few things to auction and have a few bids, it is Next stuff at the moment so hopefully will get some good bids on them by the time they finish.

    How is everyone else doing?

  • I managed to list several items on free listing days. Not got many bids only about £5 worth so far but few watchers on others - all low value items tho!
Hopefully get a few more bids before they end

Have been selling a couple of items a day on Amazon and GreenMet so pleased about that. Have a tutorial on Saturday so have to spend the next few evenings preparing that.

Will be back next week eBaying like mad and I am actually looking forward to it...:rotfl:
