  • ask her to return the item and upon receipt you will refund her, I think yor being perfectly reasonable about this.

  • Gingababe - you're being reasonable, she should have to pay return postage.

I'm in a bit of ebay limbo - got a few bits that should make £20-£30 or so, but they all involve trying to find all the packaging and bits that go with them that are in the loft, so that really means sorting out the loft totally as I have no idea where in the loft the packaging for the items are - grr.

I had to refund someone £11 the other day for an item not received, and it's looking like I'll have to refund £13 to someone for an item that hasn't arrived too. Bum. I've posted the claim form off for the first item so hopefully I'll get some sort of refund from royal mail. The buyer for the £13 item is very nice though - I posted it on 8 February to Sweden and he's seems ok with waiting until friday of this week to give it a few more days to arrive. I rang the royal mail and they said that cos of the snow in northern europe it could be delayed with that, or it could be delayed with customs. So, fingers crossed it turns up else I'll be refunding that on friday - arg!

Don't forget the free listing today for private sellers.

I intended to list some items only to find that my clapped out PC no longer recognises my printer scanner (I scan a lot of my flat books and stuff) arghhh. Wasted 2 hours trying to fix the problem yesterday and I just leep getting 'we have encountered a problem and will close down'.

My new PC (bought with the money I make on my ebay business account) is sitting in the hall waiting to go back as it arrived damaged. I could try photographing some items but my USB ports blew out on the PC a while ago so I have to use the media slot in the printer which doesn't work

Shall I just go back to bed now?

Hi all. Totally annoyed now!! The woman who I told you about the other day who hasn't received the boots and top I sent (and threatened to report me to ebay after 7 days of not receiving the items) kept emailing daily so I have given in and refunded her. She has now sent me an email telling me I need to recall the money as she lost her bank card and the account was shut down so she can't pay it in anywhere from Paypal. She has told me 'YOU NEED TO send an uncrossed postal order'. This is turning into more hassle than it's worth and I feel like telling her where to go! Obviously I won't but how do you recall money? Any help would be appreciated x

  • NickyJ - I don't think you can recall money from paypal - just because you've paid the money into her account I don't think that would give you permission to take it out again. I'm sure someone else will be along who might have experienced your situation though. It's not your fault she lost her bank card and you have refunded her so I'd say it's now her problem to work out how to get the money from her paypal account. Could she transfer it into a friend's paypal account, they could transfer the cash to their bank account and they could withdraw it?

Right, I need to redo some photos then get a few things on ebay. Hope everyone is doing well with the free listings day :)

Ok more update on my buyer, I spoke again to ebay & they say that I don't have to pay the return postage. She has now sent me an email in capitals... CAN I BE CLEAR ARE YOU REFUSING TO REFUND ALL COSTS? I am at the end of my tether but she is now saying that I refuse she will report me to paypal & I will lose the item & the money, why is she being like this! (I know because she can!) Is this right? ( also why has she waited so long before getting back to me? ) Is it worth all the hassle I ask myself?

    Thanks Guys for your help
