  • well i have added BIN to some of my listings to see how things go.

I have also put a couple of my handmade cards on to see how they go,to give me a idea of whether it would be worth opening a shop. I used to sell them via a friend of my OH card shop, but I got £1 a card and they sold them for £1.85, so stopped doing that.

There may be a better place to ask this, but how do you guys work out fees? At the moment I am using the tried and tested pen and paper method but there must be somewhere or something I can use that is less time consuming. :D

  • I desperately need to sort my office out, it's a tip. I had a large delivery about 2 weeks ago and have a great big box so am going to put everything for Ebay into the big box and have no other boxes around so that I can just take a few things out each day and get it all listed.

I'm glad they are doing away with the Free P&P for books, CDs etc.

I have a spreadsheet for my Business account, it doesn't take off the final value fees for each transaction though, at the end of the month I input the Ebay fees and Paypal fees onto another yearly spreadsheet, I need to find an hour or so to try and modify it so it takes off the fees for each item sold.

  • Great sales TMD! And welcome scotmumof3, everyone is lovely and supportive on this thread so if you need some motivation or help then ask away!

Can't remember if I posted last night, but I have received payment for the things that ended last night and posted them today, so that's another £25ish in the pot :)
  • Just wondering if people find that you get better prices on eBay in the run up to Christmas - or whether the time of year doesn't matter?
  • slow start to Feb for me.... Sales of about £10 plus £15 winging its way to me from Amazon. Just managed to upload a few items onto turbo lister though...no mean feat while looking after a 3 and a 1 year old! My dream is to be able to get a lower paid job (ie less hours) and supplement this with monies made from maybe ebay - which means getting into buying to sell..Have a little idea just need to research it! Then no doubt Ill be looking for advice from some of you pros..:T Could be a while though..
    Thanks!
  • Wow some of your totals are just amazing.

Hi to all the newbies and welcome.

Feb has started off quite well for me. I got all excited when i logged on yesterday to find id sold 5 items.

Im getting used to having the 2 accounts now and shall be turning the buisness one into a shop very soon. Im still really enjoying doing this challenge.
