.....and this thread is exactly why I have my shopping delivered! ;)
  • I went to Asda before it shut,it was really busy,I only wanted a dessert and the sport of heavily reduced food.

It wasn't worth it all I got was seven packs of cold meat reduced from £2.00 to 20p (made them up with rolls for DD packed lunches and stuck in the freezer) and two really tiny cooked chickens reduced from £3.00 to £1.50.

I only really do it for the fun of it but Asda must have been going to pass the food onto the staff (quite right too) as they didn't even reduce the salad or anything else.

We had to go to Sainsburys on Tuesday - needed a pharmacy for a Chicken Pox confirmation!

If it was confimed buy some porridge oats, put some in a pair of tights, tie a knot in them, hang over the hot bath tap and let the hot water run through it. It takes certain oils out of the oats which will relieve the itching. My 10 year old went through hell when she had chicken pox as she had them internally and I ended up doing this bath thing at 4am in the morning!

Only sainsburys is near us open today, and it's not even a big one :(

I'm tempted to go... I don't really need anything....

Thanks for this but in the past have bathed my kids in Bicarb of Soda! The child!! in question was my now grown up daughters' boyfriend!! It was inconclusive as he had picked every spot and scab he could get at

All well and good if your dellivery service is good, Asda have a bad reputation where I live for missing items and such like and Tesco don't fair much better.... :( otherwise I would get it all delivered if I could....and when I have ordered in the past all the pickers take the first lot off the shelves and as anyone who has worked in a supermarket knows that is the stuff that goes out of date first....

Over the last few years I have used Sainsburys and Tesco (these mainly), however after becoming disillusioned with Tesco about 11 months ago I swapped to Ocado and can thoroughly recommend them. In the time I have been using them I think I've had maybe 2 items substituted and they also do 1 hour delivery slots. :D

My sister swears by Ocado (lives in London) but unfortunately Ocado don't like our part of Scotland.... :(
