Hopefully it will be quieter at Mr S's place by the time DH gets home and gives me chance to head out at 5ish. I don't need a big shop, just a couple of jumpers for a short break and hopefully some bargains for the freezer... Fingers crossed!0

Tesco yesterday was crazy at 9am - don't get it! Only popped in as friends were coming round, organised last minute.
As much as possible I avoid supermarkets at this time of year.
And in the seasonal aisle, whilst looking for cheap stollen (which I found mmm) they had a massive stock of Easter Eggs out.
ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Our local tescos car park had people fighting for spaces, so we parked in another carpark nearby and walked.
Shop was hectic as hell also.0 -
We went to Asda on the 23rd and I can only say that it was like going to hell in a handcart, except the handcart was my Yaris....:rotfl:
Did mine last night at my smaller local tesco.....won't attempt anymore shopping until next week once the mad post New Year rush has died down....0 -
Absolutely pathetic today - pushing, shoving, taking things out of other people's trolleys...all by those already piled high with anything they could see that had a reduced sticker.
I think I'd rather pay full price than be an utter cretin.
Feral, the lot of them.,0 -

I got several steps into the small Sainsburys in Solihull today and reversed! I didnt need food but the greengrocers was shut and I was after some greens and treats for the guinea pigs and rabbit. Shelves in the fruit and vege were empty in large parts, stuff was on the floor and it was packed with massive queues so decided hasty retreat was in order:rolleyes:
Got enough until Sat but like to treat them!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

We had to go to Sainsburys on Tuesday - needed a pharmacy for a Chicken Pox confirmation!!
I could not believe how many people were shopping with full trolley loads!! I admit to having bought in plenty for Christmas and apart from needing more milk, bread and potatoes - have been able to buy all these from the local village shops. My other half says if we need to shop a proper shop before the 3rd week in January then something is wrong - we have plenty in the freezer/cupboard - makes you wonder what other people have done with all they bought?
Or is this the people who spent Christmas with other people like mum and dad or other family and not having bought anything before Christmas are now struggling to feed themselves? Personally even if I was spending Christmas with other people I would still buy some stuff for me - cos I love the leftover bits - cold turkey and stuffing Sandwiches and the like! Imagine leaving a lovely family xmas to go home and have no special treats left!! Does'nt bear thinking about!!
