But the money I save with compatibles will allow me to go out and just buy a brand new printer when it breaks.compatibles? *head against wall*
at least your warranty is with the small shop, as epson won't repair that printer now...
£5 for compatibles, £25 for originals.
Printer cost £60.00, so only 3 sets of cartridges required before I can afford to buy a new printer everytime it breaks.0 -
I bought a 'cheap as chips' Lexmark from Aldi for 20 quid (Originally 60 I think)
Its an all in one printer scanner and copier and works fine 2 years on and im REALLY not going to be fussed if and when it breaks down:idea:0 -

Full set of cartridges for Epson SX415 £3.99 plus delivery.
Bought a box full before Christmas. Cheap enough to sling the printer and buy another one.
Hate to think how much a set of Canon would be.0 -
From your link, my Canon i560, full set (3x colour, 1black) = £2.43.Hate to think how much a set of Canon would be.
However I use Jetec compatables, last time got 2x full sets plus free extra black for £8.99 delivered.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
No, because Canons have the Print head in the cartridge, and are much dearer compatible are almost non existant, and the ink low signal wont work on anything other that OEM cartridges.londonman81 wrote: »1. Same goes for ALL ink cartridges - all manufacturers lure you in and then hammer you with expensive cartridges.
2. You can buy 'compatible' ink cartridges which are cheaper.
3. I would still prefer the Canon for its reliability versus an Epson.0 -
