I keep leaving this thread - enough is enough / waste of time / nothing's going to get delivered blah, blah. Then I glance at the first page of the Grabbit board & see the M&S thread back at the top cos Claire21 has posted something else & I just have to have a look. Just in case...

How are people finding all these things?
Ahhh i can never find any under 10 boy and girl clothes in the sale when i look.0 -
As much as I suspect that the things appearing back in stock are the same things that are magically disappearing from people's orders (i.e. out of stock), I must confess I couldn't resist ordering this -

I have been happy with most of my jewellry items, except the Louis Bling rope necklace :Dwhich is not really to my taste, but some of the smaller items seem to have been very over priced at the outset. I received a stretch bracelet today which was originally £9.50:eek: I paid £1, but it was not worth £9.50
I couldn't agree more! Whilst 'I'm over the moon' with my little 'Collection' at £1 each - I'm absolutely amazed that anyone would have paid up to £9.50 for them! Guess maybe they didn't, which is why they are all in the Sale :rotfl:
I think I'm all 'M&S'd out' now - so won't place any more Sale orders for now. I've had some great buys which I'm really pleased with - a huge 'Thanks' to Claire & everyone who has posted.
But, it has been a really frustrating experience, with the 'System' taking stuff out of my basket faster than a Shoplifter on Amphetamines.
I saw Stuart Rose interviewed on TV re their Xmas Trading figures. It is obviously an issue beyond this Forum as he was asked why the Online Sale had caused so much grief. He replied that "it was 1st Come, 1st Served, just as in the store".
I think we can all accept that to a point, but when you've had an order confirmed 12 days ago, & the items you selected not only continue to be advertised during that time, but are then even further reduced in price, it's very difficult to understand why they suddenly go OOS at the eleventh hour. Why didn't they just dispatch the order days ago when they had the stuff? Or, indeed, did they ever have the stuff? I'm thinking particularly of the Alcohol gifts. Be a long while before I get over not receiving those
I've spoken to CS on a number of occasions & had various explanations from computer errors/virus, to system logistics, to snow (that's going to be a great excuse for everything for a long time to come!!!)
I feel really sorry for them - they don't really seem to have a clue how it works either, or have any control over it.
I know their sytem doesn't operate in 'real time' (why not?) - but I don't think it even operates on this planet!
I think it's been like this for years - I remember having a similar problem about 4 years ago - thought they'd have it sussed by now!
It must be costing them a fortune too - sending out courier deliveries with just a couple of items & all those refunded delivery charges!
Just proves to me that at that level it's all a game really. Making a 'Profit' for Shareholders is just about manipulating figures.0
