No the OH doesnt live with her anymore, the less contact the better where that is concerned. How can there be a contract if nothing was signed? Thats a bit backwards isnt it?
Its standard practice for mobiles - all above board. By using the phone, you are deemed to accept T&C conditions, you have right to cancel and return phone within 14 days if purchased online. No such right if purchased in store.
As I say - if the phone is worth something, it could sold to pay towards the cost of the contract line rental. But its best to work out and check carefully how much it is worth by asking questions on forums like this.
On some networks I think, like Voda you can downgrade the tariff by £5 a month till it reaches the lowest the network offers. But that can only be done if you have had contract for 9 months I think. T-mobile you have to be in last month of contract to be able to do that.
She could phone the network and ask if that is possible, explain the situation - might get someone sympathetic to the situation, possibly offer some way of paying for line rental in smaller batches.0 -
