I must admit, every house agent barr the one we're with now have been utterly useless at getting things done on time. Just keep on at them - but it will all come together - maybe put in writing to the school that you're just waiting for this bit of paperwork and that you'll send it over the holidays as soon as you have it.

And just a question (don't ask why - you'll find out soon enough) but do you like lavender?

Ive just spoken to the man at estate agents and spelt it out for him once again...basically said if I didn't get the contract this week then my daughter wouldn't get into school and I would have to pull out of the house...seems to have done the trick he said he would get it in the post tomorrow. Idiot!

Hopefully that's worked this time Sal! Must admit when I've been renting flats the best ones have always been small businesses, i.e. a person who owns a few properties. Estate agents and people just renting out their one 'spare' property have generally been awful!

Ive rented privately for the last 5 years so haven't had to deal with any of this malarky..I shall miss my landlords they are great!

Im sorry to all my DFW/WB friends if you have been dragged into the FB debarcle. I truly never had any idea that forgetting something so little would end like this! I won't be making any comments and get dragged down into it and shall be taking some time out because quite frankly its made me very sad that anyone could think I would do such a thing on purpose.
