    Morning all

Beautiful sunny day here and Ive woken up in a really really good Mood. Am at work until 2pm but actually as much as I can't bare work sometimes its nice to come in and have a break from B...she is so full on at times im exhausted! Tonight R is coming straight from work and Ive booked a babysitter for a couple of hours so that we can get out for a nice walk in the sun :):). Am debating whether to do a surprise picnic that we could take with us. Having a bit of a tricky time with his ex..up until now he's claimed she's been fine and happy about us and there would be no problems. He's asked to drop the children back 2 hours late on saturday as we are going to a family party in winchester and she's not sure if thats possible and will let him know! It was inevitable that there would be some problems along the way!

Its not surprising that she'll try and exert some control through the children. She may be an ex (not sure how long for?) but I expect the fact that he has found you is so clearly happy has hit her, even subconciously, and will have rocked the status quo for her...

Keep smiling, say nothing negative about it and let it sort itself out.

What Luc said... of course it could be that she has something planned so dropping them off later might mean she needs to change some arrangements, you'll (well he'll) have more idea if she's just being awkward though.

Surprise picnic sounds nice.. any more thoughts on those holiday plans btw?

For most ex's, its quite hard to see the other one happy (sad isnt it?) so as everyone says, dont say a bad word about her and just let her have a moment or two...I am sure it will work out ok in the end.

Luc & Squizz I said those exact words to him this morning. I tried to explain as happy as she might be there is always going to be an element of jealousy that he's getting on with his life and she's the one stuck doing all the day to day nitty gritty. I also think this has come after a weekend where the children have spent 4 days with him and 2 of those with B and I...I can imagine they went home saying we did this and that and Sally and B and she's probably feeling a bit put out. I know if i were in her position I would still be feeling a bit annoyed, sad, lonely scared that the children might want to live with daddy. It will sort itself out, he's an understanding person and will remain tactful and polite even if she turns into a nightmare.

Squizz I would love to go to Verona or venice, would only be a long weekend but would be nice to have something to look forward to :)

I'll look out the details of the place we stayed in Venice, it was lovely and old fashioned. Flights to there were Easyjet - cost us about £50 each but that was Christmas time.

Sounds lovely squizz...I think we don't mind spending more on a hotel if we can get there cheaply..I would just like to get out and about and see some places as would he :) And then I can also experience his italian talking in action :)

R's Ex has said its ok for the weekend so he is relieved! Had a lovely evening, picked up babysitter around 6:30 and then we went straight out for a nice 3 mile walk up on the hills one side of town...beautiful and warm and an amazing view. Much pimms and wine consumed and collapsed into bed around 11pm *yawn*

Haven't got much planned for today, need to get some seeds from the garden centre and maybe go to the allotment, which im finding a real chore at the moment. I just want a garden that I can grown stuff in and I can potter in, in the evening! Ah well I shall have to make do for now.

What seeds are you after? I've a glut of seeds that I won't use so if there's anything of use I'll pop it in the post.

Tha allotment wasn't a chore last year - it was a refuge! Look at how far you've come Sally and you'll realise the rest is not that far from your grasp;)
