Lost count of how many over last week or two - not that there has been loads but certainly 2-3.

Looking forward to the count up later in the year. :D

    G'day all

I'd like to join if I may?

I started collecting £2 coins back in February sometime (I think) when I bought one of the only remaining (and ugliest) money boxes on a sad shelf in TK Maxx. I felt sorry for him :(

Since then my fiance has noticed that I am collecting them and now feels obliged to give me any £2 coins he gets too. What he didn't realise to begin with was that I'd nobbled the bar staff in our local pub and they always give us £2 coins in our change when they have them. Once he bought a round that came to £6-something and he only ended up putting about £5 back into his wallet from a £20. :D

Anyhoo, I don't know exactly how many we have in The Mad Catter at the minute, as we have vowed not to check until we can fit no more in and empty him...but it's lots. I can't wait to find out :j

So, to start me off here I will be popping one shiny £2 coin into him tonight from a round whilst watching Brazil vs Chile last night.

  • Can I join please, I'm new to this and I have my first £2 to start me off! Lets hope July is a good £2 month for me, although it's a no spend month so I really shouldn't be getting any coins in my purse at all!!

I banked another £8 into my ISA today. Those pesky £2 coins seem a bit thin on the ground lately. I wonder where they are?

Had to use my £2 to buy my shopping, it's a sorry state when that happens.

But there's £6 in the bank, and one in the CatBank - so up to £8 again
