Lots of properties can on last week but not much this week. Few price drops and nothing over the past couple of weeks.
Other than a few well priced largish properties in good areas or the well priced repo little is selling epsecially in the FTB bracket. Next couple of weeks will be interesting as the beginning of Feb last year in my area pretty much everything that came to the market was under offer within a week.0 -
As far as I can see an average first time buyer is locked out of the mortgage market unless they have a big deposit, so there isnt much movement throughout the ladder.
If you consider an average flat or small house can now be got for in the SE £150,000, that sounds quite reasonable. But for a 20 something FTB who doesnt happen to have £30k in the bank for a deposit - let alone stamp duty etc, it may as well be 150 million.0 -
Well, intrestingly there is a house opposite that sold on the same day as I bought and just looked up the price on the websites, I was told by the estate agent how much it had achieved but couldnt believe it, and he wasnt lying! Cant believe it achieved so much. Still makes mine look a bargain, every silver cloud and all that........Pawpurrs x
