What are you seeing on your property bee?

I've been watching things within a 30 mile radius of my work on rightmove for the last few months.

Some property is selling, sometimes for quite high prices.

A lot of it is just sitting there though. Occasional price drops occur. It's a slow process. There are surprisingly few properties on the market too.

I am seeing all sorts. Some up, some down, some with no changes for 18+ months.

    None of it makes sense....

But I don't keep an eye on an actual area I am really interested in, just random searches.

    Today: Dorset, whole of.

You looking to buy in Dorset PN?

Nothing has really dropped here (South Dorset). Got PB early in the year, and there were some mega price drops on a few places, which then sold... but then it crashed on me a couple months ago, so I'm not too sure of the overall recent trends.

Downloaded it again today actually, only had a real quick look at a couple things, but it seems its still mostly the same properties on at the same (hyped IMO) prices. And yeah, not many actually for sale either

Decent amount of price drops since middle of Octobers. Nice properties still selling well but taking longer to sell. Will be interesting to see what it is showing at the end of Jan.

Well, if I had, I'd have just made my mind up. Two places that look perfect on RM right now ... and they add up to what I've got ... so almost tempted to drive up and get viewings :)

I've decided the seaside/good beach is most important to me... then I will start a "Beach Picnic Club" and we'll picnic on beaches.

Well, don't know where you're looking, but I've just checked my town for all properties (I usually only search for 3 bedrooms), and the 1 & 2 bed flats have dropped massively since I last looked earlier in the year! :j

  • What i used to see was some selling, most stuck for 2 years or more, then taken down and put back up a few days later with different pics and a different agent and marketed as 'new on the market', got to laugh at the sad shallow b@stards that are EA's.:D

Regardless if they made good money or not, making a living out of lying wouldn't be for me.

Doesn't take up much space though does it? I don't use FF either, only for looking on Right Move

As a rule of thumb I tend to load all properties in an area, then I just look at 2 bed houses, then I wonder what 1-bed detached houses are about. Then I realise 1-bed detached are a great idea, butchered by people who are either mad or will never try living in one for life.

    :)

I am really keen to get some holiday chalet right on the beach, for peanuts.... but they're never peanuts for obvious reasons :)
