Stuff like that is £200 in my local classifieds, but asking/getting are two different things.

If it's Vista, needs more RAM, so £150 tops, remember that when you sell to a mate, there will be the inevitable phone calls, 'can you help?' I've done such and such, so factor in a bit of extra for callouts. IYSWIM.

Used to happen me to the point i stopped selling / repairing PCs.

I pointed a friend in the direction of a decentish laptop deal at a local retailer thinking well thats safe enough and he rang on christmas day looking me to sort something!!! ARRRGGGHHHH!
  • My interpretation of low spec may be different to other peoples but the memory is low as far as I am concerned and there's no blu ray drive.

My bosses missus phone at 9 pm on Sun 27th, asking how to get her WPA key from the router, so that she could set up her i-phone.

She was very apologetic and embarrassed when I reminded her that it was on the back of the calendar in her kitchen..........where she wrote it after the last time.

    She is blonde. :p

p.s. we are a small, friendly, very informal company, and all mates, so I wasn't really THAT !!!!!! off.
    Move along, nothing to see.

I'd agree the RAM is low but RAM is cheap anyway. Not having a Blu-Ray drive would't bother me in the slightest. Most people are still using DVDs anyway.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

  • I'd be more worried about removing all my private business off it if I were you..
