OH obviously could see how wretched I look this morning so has done the early morning shift for me.....hopefully we can take it in turns over the next few weeks which will make it a bit easier.....

I just can't believe how tired I am today! My eyes are struggling to stay open :o Not good. BUT I have had a bowl of ready brek, so hopefully will have an orange glow about me before too long :o

Another sluggish one here this morning. I'm getting more sleep, the hotel swapped the flat's duvets from a feather ones to allergy, and breathing and itchy eyes improved, and suddenly OH & I were getting 6 hours sleep in a go. But still on catch up from before, and this morning just seems worse than normal. Must have slept too heavily.

Caffeine might help Hypno, if not there's always chocolate as an energy boost :)

Yes, lots of caffeine will be consumed today, I am sure.....although I am aiming for a NSD, so won't be heading for the chocolate if I can help it!

How's the store cupboard and grocery challenge going?

Having fun here!! Trying to take advantage of multi-buys etc to save, but got to balance against leaving no food before flying back, a real juggling act to minimise spend. Prices are horrific too, about double the UK  It's even worse for vege's as we'd got used to using the aldi and lidl weekly specials when OH was redundant, and kept to the routine after.

Basically trying to only top up with food when essential, and stick to shopping list as much as possible, but at the prices here you have to buy some of the special offers as the normal prices are  Hope this sounds sensible?

Hi Surfbabe - school back to normal here too.....GCSEs taking place this week, so they jolly well need to be open (much to DD's dismay!)

se....storecupboard/grocery challenge is going ok, but I did do a grocery shop yesterday.....although I had some staple foods in, eg pasta, rice, I had no potatoes, little in the way of other veg, and no milk etc, so went and bought those. While I was there I topped up on some freezer food too, which I reckon should see us through to the end of the month, with some careful consideration, so hopefully we will stay within budget. Last year's Norwegian student arrives tomorrow for a visit, so I have to at least make sure there is enough to feed her, although she is more than used to my bizarre ways!

Still waiting for caffeine to kick in... will probably do so at about 9pm

I wish I could dose up on the caffeine, been on decaff for a while now, and so I get the shakes if I have a strong coffee.

Hope your caffeine doesn't kick in at bedtime Hypno!!!

I won't generally drink caffeine from about 3pm onwards, otherwise there is no chance of me sleeping.......I did go for several months of only having decaf - I don't mind it really, it is just that early morning bleurgh that leaves me reaching for the full strength stuff at the moment :o

Having said that.....I really don't know why I am so tired today. It is really quite strange......must be getting old

  • Hope you've got the orange warm glow. I have come into the office and the heating is broken so we are all sat here with our coats and gloves on
