She has shoes that hopefully will go with it - but until it arrives, will be difficult to tell......the shoes she has cost her £2.50 in the sale, on the basis that they would probably go with any prom dress, but if they didn't, she hasn't lost a lot!
Then I might see if I can find a corsage for her wrist and hair in a similar colour.
We should be able to do the whole thing for very little money :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

It's 11.15 and I am still up because DS had a night race at the ski club (first gold of the season
) and we have not been home long. I needed to go onto ebay to pay for the dress, and also needed to check my matched bet had settled as expected, but am now going to make my hot water bottle and head to bed.

Morning all, and Happy Mother's Day to all you mums. Especially those of you whose offspring will forget that breakfast in bed and a gift from Hotel Chocolat is a required element today, and for those who end up doing the ironing and cooking for the ungrateful masses all day **roll eyes smiley here**
The plan today is skiing all morning (kids, not me) then some matched bets to do this afternoon, plus a bit of paperwork that I need to get ready for the week. Usual pre-Monday washing, and then off to Mum's for roast dinner late afternoon.
I got my council tax bill yesterday, which I am pleased to say comes in at about £25 per month less than I had estimated, so I will change my SOA accordingly......now if only I could find out my new mortgage payment :rotfl::rotfl:
Off to scratch, bank, and start working out the betting schedules for the day. Have a good one, everyone xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Good morning Hypno & Hypnoettes,
You did brilliantly on the dress & the skis, I bet you and DD can't wait for the dress to arrive.
Sounds like DS had a good evening too with his first gold.
Scratchies done, hightlight was a 20p, free bingo on the go now. Wish I could do comping, but the internet isn't fast enough to cope unfortunately.
Only just over 6 weeks, and then we're back and househunting in earnest, although will probably take a few days to settle back into the rental house first. There do seem to be more likely houses coming on the market recently which is making us more optimistic.
Got to start running down the food cupboards now, so food shopping will be less which is good.
Have a good day everyone0 -
Morning se - only 10ps for me on scratches today - story of my life!
DS skied on his "new" skis last night, and really noticed the difference.....whether real or psychological doesn't really matter, he thinks they are fab and raced accordingly. I have to say that it was a joy to watch him last night. It was the first race of the season, and I hope it fires him up for the rest of the year.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
