What a miserable evening Hypno. The sun is shining here, and that always makes it seem a good start to the day, hope it is in Hypno land too.

Scratchies done, only 10p's. Free bingo started. Managed a redeem request for a £10 Amazon voucher on one site, so that was good. So things are gradually adding up. Think today is a stay in/relax/slob day, as OH is not well enought for any touristy going out attempts.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

Why is it, that when I have a night when I don't wake up, I have some really bizarre dreams instead. So when I do wake up I feel as though I have been awake all night

I think I was so exhausted last night, I was due a night of sleep - woke a couple of times, but went back to sleep......but to more bizarre dreams. Odd.

This morning I have a M/S to do while DS is skiing, and this evening DS is racing. In between, I have the usual, bit of matched betting, housework, surveys etc. I want to get the house reasonably tidy so that I can enjoy a bit of space on Mother's day. Some hope!!

Have a good one, everyone, off to scratch and bank x

10ps only on the scratches, but £15 M/S in which has been transferred to the debt/savings pot.

I have £30 in my purse, and a whole £8.49 in the housekeeping account.....I need £7 to cover expenses for the M/S, and £7 for race entry this evening.....so I will be taking flasks of coffee to the race this evening and buying lucozade from the supermarket where I can get their own version far cheaper than the real thing from the ski club......etc etc.

I get my child benefit on Monday, so as long as I can make what I have got in my purse last the weekend, I will be alright until payday, as the CHB will cover everything I need before the end of the month.

This budgeting lark is tough, isn't it!! I know I could dip into my "savings" that I am building up from the MSE extras, but I am really trying to prove to myself that I can manage on my basic income.

And of course, it highlights that spends in Waterstones and the like, really should be considered more before parting with the debit card :rotfl:

How is the savings pot looking at the moment Hypno?

£621 in the savings pot, benben.....all from MSE money and sticking to budgets, putting any surplus at the end of the month in there.

I am using it as a two fold thing - one to build up savings to cover emergencies such as fixing the car or repairing the boiler if they are needed. second to encourage me to stick to my budgets. I need to know I can manage on my basic income, and I have to be strict with that, because we never know when the MSE money might dry up, or if I were ill I wouldn't be able/inclined to earn the extra in the same way, so I need to know I can survive on the minimum.

    So far, so good.....

Just done a lightspeed survey - now need to get showered dressed and out of that door!

What a disaster yesterday evening was for you :( I'm so sorry it went so wrong.... and then a weird night's sleep as well, oof. I hope today is a *lot* better for you - and yes, I agree, this budgetting lark is tough! I'm about to blow mine on a bus fare to the nearest local town - there's a *massive* garden centre there, and some Barratt houses up for part exchange - I don't want to live there, but I want to see what new build looks and feels like inside.

    Take care
