Beds hopefully being delivered on Saturday afternoon........fingers crossed!
I could quite happily scoff a whole bagful of chocolate and sugary stuff right now, but as I am already up to 15 points of my 19 allowed, I will have to resist. So your virtual fruit and nut bar is gratefully received!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Hypno you've achieved so much since this happened, and in such a short time.
Not everything will go smoothly, the world isn't like that. I know today seems a bad day, but it's only one thing gone wrong (OK Halifax are still being useless, but that was to be expected), so concentrate on the things that are going well like ww & skiing, and that you're coping as a family.0 -
Ok, you have been feeling flat today. Although no one has died your life as you knew it effectlively has, ergo, you are grieving. Grief, as you know hits people at different times in different ways and today hasnt been a good day for you. But, you are allowed to feel like this. you are allowed to wallow for a day or so and feel crap and sad and hard done by and GRIEVE!!!!
You are such an amazingly strong woman. you keep the bad stuff down with strength and positivity but it is inevitable that once in a while your cesspool will overflow and need to be drained. Unfortunately your body and mind are in control of when that happens and today it has decided to drain it for you, bring it to the forefront and get some of it let out.
My mother always says to me, midnight brings with it a clean sheet of paper. write your day the way you want to. Dawn brings a fresh sunrise, let the sun shine on you and dont hide in the shade.
I think what she tries to say is no matter how crappy crapola today is, tomorrow is another opportunity to move forward and and day further away from the bad experiences you are having.
You use the term baby steps to describe your debt free journey. working your way through the grieving process also requires baby steps, perhaps even more so. But, and i can't express this loudly enough YOU ARE ALLOWED TO FEEL SH1TE!!!

YOU ARE ALLOWED TO FEEL SH1TE!!!
And I do. And I am tired. And I am ultra busy in the busiest time of my working year.
And I am on a bloody diet and want a big fat hot chocolate with marshmallows, whipped cream and a double flake in it.
And I am feeling a bit sorry for myselfSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Oh Hypno ... I've been out (on a mystery shop) and just caught up with your diary. Hugs, sweetie, I can hear you feel really, really bad today, and kind of overwhelmed. I hope at least you can find a treat that goes well with those four points you've got left today. Or, dreadful thought, can you borrow some points from tomorrow, or is that not in the spirit of the thing **insert confused smiley**
PS nice post from Pania.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Sorry you are having a less than good day, Hypno, good news is there's only 8 hours of it left to go! Why don't you have that hot choc drink - if you are good the rest of the week with your diet then one choc & marshmallow slurp isn't going to harm you! I have heard it said that you can follow the 80-20 rule for eating and still feel good - 80% of the time stay strict with yourself regarding calories, fat intake etc but allow 20% of the time for little indulgences. You can always do some serious housework or skiing to work off that drink! One life - your life - live it!0
