Hypno: a tip about Whistles. The clothes are nice, but not cheap. To get them cheaper, look at the price tag in the top left hand corner. There will be a two letter and three number code (e.g. XY123). This is the item code by which it can be identified on the computer system. Find out where there is a Whistles outlet. New season stock gets sent to the outlets roughly 6 weeks after it hits the high street, so if there is something you really like and have tried on in a shop and you don't desperately need it for a wedding or something, ring up the outlet and ask them if they have that item (give description and code) in stock yet, please, and see what they say. They might not have it in, but think it is coming in soon, might not know (in which case ring back in the near future), and in some cases, if it's a red-hot seller on the High Street, they may not get it in at all, but it's well work a try as things are sold at 1/3 less than on the High Street, and as they increase in age, they go down even more. If the particular outlet you ring doesn't have it in, ask whether or not it has gone to the outlets or not yet, and ask them to see if any other outlets have it in, and ask for their phone number. Then ring that outlet. I think they will post it out to you (but I'm not 100%, so ask them first), then you can get them to send it out to you. It might cost £5 or so in P&P but compared to what you save, that would be nothing, and if you order more than one item, they should put it all in together (unless it's physically impossible).

Morning all, nutters included.....
Had a poor nights sleep last night, so was really not pleased when the alarm went off this morning. I feel as though I have had no sleep at all, yet I know that I had some.......bah......oh well, it is improving.
£1 on a scratch this morning takes me almost to payout - so early next week I should be able to withdraw £10 at last.......and £4 made on a matched bet last night. Banking shows nothing in or out, so all ok there.
The new phone I have ordered for DD was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday - I have had daily emails saying it will be delivered "tomorrow"....and so I quite expect them to cancel the order now. DD will be guttedWe shall just have to see what pans out there, but we are not overly optimistic.
Nothing else to report.....still just within budgets, and working hard to stay that way!!

Good luck with that, Surfbabe. One of those jobs that no one likes, but has to be done ((hugs)).

Good luck, surfbabe - not a nice thing to have to do, but it *has* to be done....
hypno, sorry to hear of all the problems this phone deal is causing you, I hope you *can* get it for DD.
Have a good day, from this nutter2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
95p from scratchies today, so better than it's been for a while.
Not having much luck on the free bingo either for winning cash or vouchers, hope the luck changes soon.
Cough woke me up at 5, thought it was getting better, but decided to relapse. Managed to get back to sleep for another hour, but still shattered, the bug makes you sleep so heavily you wake up shattered anyway.
Hypno - pleased to hear the skiing went well
Hope your DD's phone arrives soon.0 -
