Managed another £10 withdraw request out of free bingo/scratchies, which was a pleasant surprise.
With chick peas, one of our family favourites is chick pea risotto, we also like a Rose Elliot spiced chick pea recipe, I also do an italian style tomato pasta sauce using chick peas ( the risotto and pasta sauce are what's in the fridge recipe's ).
Here with no spices/herbs, cooked some mixed winter type vege added washed tinned chick peas at the end, reduced the cooking liquid, and added natural yoghurt, was yummy with rice, if you want to be decadent you could use cream.

She's very selfish Pickle. She wanted him to go back home to look after her, wasnt at all bothered what effect it might have on her grandchildren
Anyhoo, she hasnt seen us or the kids in over 8 years
I doubt if your children have missed out on anything, after all it sounds as if she didn't really care about her grandkids anyway. Must have been awful for you at the time, and your DH having to make such a choice....what on earth drives people like that? One life - your life - live it!0 -

Hypno,
I hope that you have someone to whom you can talk or who can be with you to offer some real comfort. In the meantime, over the ether, there are many of us sending you positive good wishes and will continue to do so whether you return to MSE or not.0 -
:grouphug: Hypno, as always xA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Oh Hypno - just more of what the rest of them have said really. Big ((((((((HUGS)))))))) to you, take your time and sieze the chance for fresh air, space and rest while you have the peace and quiet of the house to yourself. Above all, go with the flow of what your emotions are telling you is right for you RIGHT NOW - that's the important thing, not that you conform to any preconcieved ideas that you or others have of how you "should" behave.
