strange things swimming in my pond

I had very green murky water in my pond, Yesterday I fitted a filter/pump/fountain. Does anyone know whether the water will eventually clear.
Although the water has been murky for ages there is plenty of wildlife in there and 3 gold fish that have thrived.
I will be glad for any advice.

I have these mosquito larvae in my allotment pond. Also have 3 or 4 newts - great fun watching the newts eating these larvae. Strangely enough the frogs in the pond don't bother to eat them
