Do you mean on the Lets Subscribe website? I didn't have any problems doing it online so didn't have any direct contact with them I must admit.

I've been subscribing to these special offers for years. I have never cancelled direct with website/publisher; All I do is watch my bank account like a hawk until they take the 1st payment, then cancel the DD straightaway. I just do this on my banking website. I've found the time it takes for them to set up the DD and take the first payment varies enormously - some send written confirmation of roughly when its going to happen; some don't. What they want is for you to not notice the DD has been taken then quickly wham you with the next much biggger sub - that can happen just a day or two later (someone on another thread has posted of a big DD being taken on the same day as the first small DD!)
I've never had any probs except maybe once or twice the mags themselves haven't arrived. But since I'm nearly always in profit anyway because I've signed up with cashback through quidco, I don't mind.
The way I look at it is once you have cancelled your DD they have no mandate to take money from your account..but then again, I may be proved wrong one day...!

Has any one had any problems with not phoning them up? and just canceling it with the bank? Its just i was never sent a 10 didit

mine have just started arriving this week... no conformation letter for me either.. i've just cancelled dd's... they have been paid thats my part of the arrangement fulfilled....cheers op

I received all the other freebies a few days before the magazines started arriving.

Have just signed up through Quidco to try Guardian weekly @ £1 for 4 weeks (never get time to read a daily paper any more). Plus 'The Week' was free for 6 issues, so figured "Why Not".

I also took up this offer and was wondering where my Elemis was. On Monday I recieved a letter from the publishers to say that stock had run out but they sent me a replacement gift of some very nice Neal's Yard goodies.

Well, i had Neal's Yard goodies on monday too, but not happy at all, they smell very bad. Would much rather have Elemis
