My 18month contract is coming to the end. I rang up up customer service to find out when the contract finishes. Was informed 9th February.
So ok, told the rep can i have the address so i can post out the letter for disconnection. He then said to ring back on 7th Jan to get a disconnection code and address.
I'v already got the address which is:
Disconnections
Carphone Warehouse
PO BOX 345
Unit 19
Southampton
SO30 2NR
The rep would not confirm the address for me, but im pretty sure it is the one.
Was the rep guy right? Do i really need a crappy disconnection code? Can't i just send a letter with my 30days notice?
Or is this another trick of theres so they can get and extra month out of me?

they change the address constantly, if i was you i would ring back then send it recorded delivery0

There's a thread on this going back to the last century.... no, you DON'T need a disconnection code - that's a deliberate LIE they tell anyone wanting to cancel when they are well within their rights and timescale to give notice WITHOUT hanging on until it's too late to cancel on time. The correct address is in Southampton - naturally they would never ever tell you that let alone confirm it. This company is a completely dishonest one.0

I disconnected my line (O2/cpw) and had to send in writing.
I got a pay as you go sim card with £10 airtime credit which I paid by visa card.
Got my sim and top up card, how do i put the money on?0
