Back home, done a sensible food shop and only bought other stuff I needed, shampoo etc except for a belt (bought with vouchers) and 3 books for £5 as I have been reading a lot lately (and better value than magazines) Also bought some charcoal tablets to see if they help with my bloating
Have esten well today (so far) but not been motivated enough to do any exercise
Babysteps though

Am feeling really low - and angry with myself for being such a failureI am single, fat, unfit, lonely and hopeless with money - my life is a mess
Shoesy you have been here before and WILL get back out again. You have to do it for yourself though. The fat and unfit bits will not sort themselves my lovey and you are working on the money thing. Re the lonely bit it sounds like you have lots of friends do you not? And re the single bit well if you want to meet someone you can't sit in posting on here and expect it to happen! I used to live with a girl overseas who sat in night after night in her red tartan jammies moaning about not having a man...but where was she going to meet one if she never went out?!!!!
Also re the debt free at 50, who says our lives all have to follow the same path? I thank my lucky stars every time I read some diaries that I was not married and 'settled' at 20 something, thus missing out on loads of fun.
Please take care and PM me if you need to XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Hi SG,
Sorry you're having a bad time. I think we need to shift focus from what you haven't achieved, to what you have:
1. You have £3126 less debt than you did at the start of the year.
2. You recognise where you were going wrong with spending money, and this influences your spending habits now-you're thinking twice before spending.
3. You are addressing your weight issues, even though there have been some set backs. Personally I am an emotional eater-rubbish day or bored at work= chocolate bar temptation at 3pm- and yes I give in every time.
4. At your current rate it will take you 6 years to pay the debt off-so you have a target. Before you addressed your issues you could probably have doubled this.
5. Re 'the mans', don't worry about this. When you are feeling better about yourself something will happen, and even if it doesn't you'll be just as fabulous.
Choose what suits you, don't try to become something or someone you think you 'should' be.

Glad to hear today was better Shoe Gal, just seen your self-loathing post though and want to tell you off! As everyone says, we all feel like this at times, I'm 37 this year and can honestly say that only about 10 of those years I've been truly happy, the rest were ok or downright miserable. I'm almost debt free, but in the last week I have bought 3 pairs of shoes off ebay (I only posted one pair, ha), but I'll get back on track, as will you. You've achieved loads, some people pay of debt really quickly (but get into it again), other people really slowly but are never in debt again, a bit like weight loss I guess - PS I've been dieting for 3 weeks and not lost a sausage! Have eaten plenty right enough, ha! Remember, you are F_Fabulous xx0
