I am not familiar with Hitachi, first impression says they are OK though0

Tesco online had one advertised this morning for £199 earlier this morning but appears to have gone out of stock, if you do not need it immediately it may be worth keeping an eye on this page

Hitachi are supremely reliable, they are what you call a preferred brand, like Sony, Toshiba or JVC"Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good Luck" - The Doctor.0 -
Absolutely nothing worth a toss under £300. They all share the same qualities - no contrast screens with poor refresh rates so you get washed out greyish colours and motion blur any time anything moves.0

As above, Hitachi are rebranded tvs as they dont make them anymore ~ just stick their badge on top
JVC? heck, im not even sure ive seen a JVC flatscreen. Toshiba are 'ok' for the money but the top 3 brands tend to wipe the floor with Toshiba pound for pound:idea:0 -

Im suprised I skipped past them in WHF

JVC is a funny brand.
Its not really what I would class a "good" brand but still better than the own brand rubbish churned out by the likes of Argos and Tesco.0 -
