Does anyone have any experience of CEX?

Just upgraded to a 16g iPhone 3GS making my 8g now redundant.

Checked the best prices online and CEX come out on top. Nearest store is 30mins by bus away...only thing I don't have for the phone is the sim ejector tool.

Does anyone know if they'd buy this and any problems I'm likely to face selling it with them? I can't find a contact number at all for their stores either

They'll buy it but are harsh on condition so don't go in expecting their A grade prices. I've sold 2 iPhones to them in the last couple of years.

They'll probably not even notice that the ejector tool isn't there (or care much, either) :)
  • Sounds like a Nokia; they are likely to notice and downgrade it - selling freepost for a higher price with them may also be preferable; I believe the stores offer a lower price.

They were lovely, and I was quite surprised by how nice!

I knew it wouldn't be A grade, because of the sim ejector being missing and I've had the iPhone 18 months. But I got the exact same price as online for B. They told me to come back in half an hour once it was tested and I got the cash. Perfect!

Yeah they're pretty good. C-graded my iPhone 3G despite the screen being brand new (didn't tell them I'd dropped it and had it replaced by Apple, though) due to quite a few marks on the back cover :-/. Win some, lose some though because they paid far too much for my iPhone 2G 16GB :rotfl:

Online prices and store prices are identical.

If you send off your phone and they change the grade they can and will pay what they like - and it won't be the same as their offering online. Tell me how I know. Terrible customer service too
