Your DNS setting for this adaptor hasnt changed.

Check this is not set manually in the WLAN adaptor TCP /IP properties.

Otherwise ipconfig /release then /renew and restart your PC

You are nearly there, but on Vista /7 you need to do this with elevated rights, start >all programs >accesories >command prompt - but instead of clicking command prompt with the left mouse, right mouse click and "run as administrator" - then do ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew

i have found that IPv6 causes all sorts of weird and wonderful errors on vista (not sure about 7 as i don't have a box running win7 to play about with) so it might be worth disabling that

    Thanks
When I look at properties for Internet Protocol v4 'Use the following DNS server addresses (192.168.1.1) is ticked and not 'Obtain DNS server address automatically'.

On IPV6 'Obtain DNS server address automatically is checked.

    Is this correct?

    Thanks

its windows 7 (Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600] gives the clue away. 6.0 is vista, 6.1 is windows 7)

as i said in my last post, i don't know if it is much of a problem in 7 as i haven't got a box running 7 yet.
