Vodafone & Tocco Lite NOT compatable??!!

I need help &/or advice please.

I just want to download a couple of games and ringtones for my new tocco lite but have been unable to get on the Vodafone homepage from my phone where I should be able to down load them?

Can anyone tell me WHY Vodafone should sell a phone that is incompatable with their system?

Sorry, about the rant, I really want to know where I can SAFELY get ringtones and games for a Tocco Lite? I don't mind paying a small amount for them.

Thank you if you've read this far!

Que? Its not vodafone that is incompatible or anything?
They do not sell the games persumably they do not have license to do so.

Find another retailer that does sell games for that phone! Try getjar.com or something free like that but I would not bother with games on touch screen phones.

Sounds like it's either not configured for data access or it's not configured right.

Call Vodafone and explain it to them they can send the info over the air to reset the phone, or try the vodafone web site, the have a help section on the Tocco and you can follow the docs and configure it yourself.

this can happen if the retailer sells you generic stock rather than branded stock, but normally you get an update quickly over the network.

Thanks Espi I responded yesterday to your original request to contact you. I had a holding reply stating a full reply will be sent within 5 days. I couldn't see a reference Number on the reply but it reached me about 12:30.

I can get onto the internet but nothing appears as I expected. I do hope you will be able to help.

    Thank you

    Hello Espi!

How refreshing to find someone on Vodafone with an interest in giving the customer a service. Thank you!:T

I will send it again because even though I did get a reply it was very much of the 'fob off' variety & I wasn't happy with it.

I may need a bit of 'hand holding' to resolve the issues but don't think it's too much to expect for the price we pay and our loyalty to Vodafone. (rant over off to re send)

    Hello again Marg,

I'm sorry to report that I have searched our WRT inbox this morning and I can't find your email. (I think that this is a problem with our inbox and not with your sending. It's being looked into as we speak. After an hour of head-scratching on my part!) However, to be able to help you further, could I ask you to email an alternate address which is webrelations@vodafone.com.

I really want to help you out with this and I understand that you may be frustrated by having to send this message a third time, but as soon as I can access further details from you over email I assure you that I will be able to help you further.

Thank you so much for your patience and I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

  • Assuming the phone runs Java games (I couldn't get an easy answer to this by a quick Google) then getjar.com is a good place to get phone games and keeps my son entertained for free.

I read this thread earlier from my Vodafone PAYG Tocco Lite and it was fine - sounds like you need the settings sent as the SIM card the phone came with didnt allow access but as soon as I put my old SIM card in it was fine.
