im due an upgrade so whilst on the phone to o2 trying to get a good deal i saw the advert on the o2 site saying there was a sale. i asked him what was on sale but he said he wont know until he comes into work in the morning and it will be on his computer. but he knew def that the phone i wanted then would not be in the sale. but i decided to wait till tomorrow and see what happens.0

just checked o2 site they have there sale phones up not many that i can see but the site is down. i been checking car phonewarehouse and they have better deals on there. think i will change. i cant upgrade instore as the contract was in my friends name and even though o2 know i have been paying all the bills every month for about 5 years or more they will only let me upgrade online.0

The O2 deals don't seem particularly spectacular. Assuming the plans are the standard ones and only the phones have changed, their 'headliner' Nokia 6700 on £15.00 per month can be had on the same tariff with unlimited texts and 18 month commitment rather than 24 from most other networks.
The laptop deal can also be beaten, and the PAYG offers certainly aren't spectacular, with the C903 that they're advertising as reduced to £130.00 cheaper than that on other networks.
So in short, still worth shopping around, combining Quidco e.t.c. and don't assume "Sale" = Best price.Hope that helps,
Mark

Wouldn't surprise me at all if they did put prices up in the "sale", although remember vat went up to 17.5% again last night.0 -
I know I am not in any way a mobile phone expert, but those supposed sale deals look atrocious to me.
However looking around the site I noticed they are now offering the Nokia 5800 for free on their tariffs. This is actually quite tempting to me. Is the 5800 still a good choice for a fairly up-to-date phone, or is it already past it's time?
Any help, advice or opinion is greatly appreciated.0 -
i checked the sales again and they are not exactly tempting. at the moment i have for £35 month 600 min 1000 text and unlimited internet on o2. i went to carphone warehouse got a samsung jet unlimited internet unlimited text and 1200 min and a wii thrown in for £40 a month on orange. so i think i got a better deal. not sure what i gonna do with my o2 contract seems a waste not to use my upgrade so thinking of getting the new phone and the cheapest contract i can get with them and giving it to the husband.0
