If you're having problems with the Network N adaptor (as I was) try this.

1. Connect the xbox to your wireless router using the cable provided.
2. go to xbox live from the main screen options
3. It should start an automatic download (just have to accept it)
4. Once the download is complete and the xbox has restarted then shut it down and plug in the network adaptor.
5. Re-start the xbox and it should now detect the adaptor and ask if you want to configure your network (you will need the password for your router).

It might go on to advise that certain firewall settings (NAT) may limit your enjoyment, if your confident about what you are doing then play with the router settings, if not, don't bother it won't make that much difference.

Well, I'm so proud of myself. Thanks to Gary, I've managed to change settings etc, and the adapter that others tell me was broken is now working perfectly and even better we discovered we have a months trial! My son is very happy now. What are the chances that the cousins will want the adapter back now - guess who won't be happy about that!!!LOL.
