Got a plunger? Have you tried it?
Tried pouring some drain cleaner down? not very MSE but far easier than getting ladders out messing with outside rodding points (if any) 2 floors up. Edit: oops missed that you'd tried that already. Try a kettle of boiling hot water too.

If those don't work take off the trap from the waste pipe (sounds like you have access there if you've already cleaned it out once) and either beg/steal/borrow some drain rods or improvise with a length of stiff wire bent into a hook at the end and go fishing down the pipe

As suggested, try drain rods - if you know what you're doing.

If not then call a specialist. I know this is a money saving site but I think back to an ex neighbour who borrowed some drain rods and somehow snapped one off in the drain, completely blocking everything. Cost him a fortune to get it sorted. :o

Thought the standard balls-up was to twist them the wrong way so the rods seperate down the drain.
Could also try a wet'n'dry vacuum cleaner to suck out the offending gunk .

:rotfl:Yes I think it was something like that, the end rod dropped off. Funny now, but not at the time!

you must never turn drain rods anti clockwise. thats the reason the rods may seperate and you leave a rod inside the drain.
    thats an expensive learning curve!
    Get some gorm.

If you have a long thin screwdriver or a piece of wire from a coat hanger then push it into the plug hole and start to twist it, most likely there is a lot of hair down there and it will catch and you will be able to pull it out. If you have never seen this before then prepare yourself to be shocked as it is not a nice sight ;p
