Buying something to mark birth of a child?

I loved the tree idea, but was like you, going to move. I started a patchwork quilt. I got extended family to contribute a piece of fabric. The idea was that there would be a sort of family quilt to use for the baby. Unfortunately, the baby is now 6 years old, and the quilt is still in pieces. Aiming for use for my great grandchildren one day!0

She also gave each of them a bear factory toy born on the day they were.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I love that 100 year diary idea...you can personalise anyway you want. Though i don't have any kids...would it be odd to start it at the ripe old age of 27 and add in any future events such as marriage, babies etc, or would that be odd?

I did actually buy myself one after loving the one I bought for my friend! I am putting life events in it, but also using it to record all my bucket list-type goals.0 -

They're not cheap, but I've got Delft plates for each of mine and I love them:

My Mam has some that were bought when me and my brother were born, so I've grown up with them and wanted the same for mine. Here I go again on my own....0 -
