    Hi There

If the MBAM scan produces nothing then I'd say your system is clean.

Your HJT log looks ok too though I'd still question the IO Bit defragger - some sites say its legit, some not.

    http://www.systemlookup.com/search.php?type=filename&client=malwaresearch-ff&search=IObit%20SmartDefrag.exe

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/?&act=search&st=0&keyword=IObit%20SmartDefrag.exe

    http://www.threatexpert.com/reports.aspx?find=IObit%20SmartDefrag.exe

In the meantime I would uninstall any programs you dont need then reboot into Safe Mode and navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete any remaining folders left over from the uninstall.

Then look towards a RAM upgrade

    Regards

Im not convinced your systems clean due to the trojans so id re-ask you run combofix as per post #11

MANY times people have still had trojans hiding AFTER running malwarebytes on this forum (And many others)

(IO defrag is fine by the way, although I use DEFRAGGLER personally)

    Based on what info?

But let the user run it and lets see the outcome.

    You starting AGAIN stu?

Not starting buddy - Just dont agree

I also do this for a living and participate in a number of malware removal forums

But I dont see how CF is going to benefit the user here

What trojans are you targeting here?

But as I said, let the user run CF if you like and lets see the outcome

Also CF use is for strict use on forums like Bleeping Computer where its use can be moderated for mistakes. Have you had the appropriate training on this?

This is the last thing im going to say to you ~
Ive been on this forum for quite a while
Ive removed things that EVERY other program couldnt even find using combofix (And manual editing)
Ive saved MANY computers on this forum (And others)

Theres a few of us that help others on this forum. We dont all agree but what we DO do is let those we 'trust' get on with helping an OP in their own way. So long as the end result is the same then theres no problem

The only time I personally step in is when people suggest something I personally disagree with (Like you have), and then EXPLAIN why ive said what I have

Now stu? Please dont bother me again...........

What is it your trying to "EXPLAIN"

I understand that you might have a good rep on here and became trusted but that doesnt mean you can never be wrong or have a closed mind to other people suggestions.

Personally I just dont agree with your approach here but it seems that as soon as I question it, I get classed as "not having a clue".

Take the Malware Search plugin I suggested - You totally rubbished that. Do you even know what it is for? How you research malware without it I'll never know.

Also CF will only work on XP boxes which doesnt help Vista / 7 / 2008 users. Shows you how old it is.

Anyway I'm banging my head of a brick wall as you just refuse point blank to even listen!

Lets look at YOUR approach ~
"If the MBAM scan produces nothing then I'd say your system is clean."

Thats completely wrong. It 'might' be clean but in my experience with the vundo trojan its unlikely. And ive had LOTS of experience with it (Clearly you havnt)

IO defrag ~ well known to be ok. LOTS of legit programs come with questionable extras, you should simply untick them when installing the legit product

My experience and how I work is none of your business, so jog on..............

That was not what I said and I do have experience dispite what you say.

Your the one who suggested deleting legit HJT entires based on what I'll never know.

The tools / websites I suggested you havent even heard of which clearly shows your lack of experience

Now get out your huff and grow up

    Regards
