    Evening all,

Not many things for me I'm afraid as I had another headache for about 1/2 the day.
    • Washing done and hanging indoors
    • Hoovering done (mostly thanks to my mum who came to drop something off:o)
    • Dropped off US Dollars to my sister who will get me a bag (hopefully from NYC when she goes tomorrow)
    • Didn't drive my car due to icy roads
    • Cleaned the bathroom shower screen which has been needing done for a while:o
    • Will do piggy clicks if any
    Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
    Boots points: £0.28
    Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
    Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
    Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)
  • I went out again today (to work though) unaccompanied by my credit card: I even went to the supermarket after work and I had a list and actually stuck to it. That's twice this year:rotfl:I've shopped without my little plastic security blanket and I really liked the feeling.

Also, I had a rather surreal moment yesterday. I had a couple of pounds in change when I was in the newsagent and I bought a scratchcard (I know, not very moneysaving:confused:). However, I actually won £200 on it and after fainting (almost) I immediately decided to spend it on nothing at all. Normally I would have been off to the sales but I was so made up about going out without Mr Plastic and winning, that I had no urge to shop!

I had the fun of cashing it in today and then coming home with the entire amount still intact! It's going into my savings account as the beginning of an emergency fund and I will be adding to it rather than adding to the retailer's profits.

I think this might be my lightbulb shooting up to 150 watts:eek:

  • Today I have:
    1. Not bought anything from work to eat
    2. Tidied out desk at work and found a tin of bean salad and a packet of micro-rice so that's two work lunches sorted that I'd forgotten I had.
    3. Joined bingo britain as some people on here have been talking about it. I'm a bit confused though! I deposited £5 and I was playing my way through all that to get the hang of what I'm supposed to be doing and I've only gone and won some money! I think I won £15.62 and I now have £15.82 balance on my account. Do I need to withdraw this today so I can play with the free £5 tomorrow? Also, I'm a complete and utter bingo novice so don't laugh but when I won I pressed the red "claim" button - did I have to press it or would the computer have done it for me? Cos if I didn't need to press it I could leave the computer to play bingo for me while I make a cup of tea or something? Cheers!

The most MSE thing I have done today is find my way back to this site!!! I did really well before but fell off the wagon and things have slipped. I redid my spreadsheets today to get things back on track and came back on for a reminder of how well others are doing and that I am not alone in my DFW journey!

It really does work as I did some washing this afternoon and having been inspired by everyone on here I didn't use the dryer (which was my first thought) and have used the airer on the landing! Aiming to have NSD's for the rest of the week and use up all of our leftovers til the weekend.

It's good to be back! :j

I've just done my first Amazon listings :) Only I then realised I also have overdue library books (don't worry, I wasn't listing those ;)). Now I'll need to sell a book or two to cancel out the fines. I'm hoping they might take the bad weather into account, but I doubt it.
